Not a good look for the Hume League in particular BB Saints not to front up for the charity shield this year

What's the news out of RW? Have the Canberra boys been to training yet?

3-4 have made it down already, the others obviously not keen on the 8 hour round trip. Interesting to see they have made the most experiened of the 6 "co-coach" obviously to squeeze under points.

Call me cynical but how can you have a coach that doesn't live in the area and wouldn't atrend the majority of training sessions. An abnomally in the rules that needs to be ironed out.

Every team does it so I don't see it as a problem. Going to be interesting to see how the teams lodge their points because there is no way some teams can fit under. It's only 20 points and anyone playing 100 or more games in a major league like rfl, OnM or Canberra are worth 4. If u had 3 or 4 of them your taking Most of your cap. There will be some fudging going on gauranteed

Hawks,
is the RFL rated as a major league when it comes to the points scheme???

Correct. An average rfl player thats played 100 games (4 points) may have only played 30-40 o&m games (2 points with reserve games) over that time. For northern clubs such as osborne, urana, lockhart, henty and now culcairn who look to the rfl it seems a massive disadvantage.

Yea definitely a disadvantage. I know some guys who have played 100 RFL games in weak clubs when they were younger and probably only be middle of the road players in hume league right now. Certainly wouldn't make 1s in OnM and are worth 4 points in hume league.

What's wrong is you can be an average rfl player and play 1s as a bottom 2 or 3 player on the team and be worth 4. A bottom 2 or 3 player in an OnM team would make u at least top 10 player at any RFL club. RFL shouldn't be counted as it's not a big step up from hume league. Where OnM is

To play 100 games in the rfl you'd have to be half handy.

RFL is still a little ahead of Hume league standard, but not by much nowadays. What im saying is the RFL, SHOULDNT be ranked as a major comp when it comes to the points system.

Ran into Luke Kohlhagen who played at walla 4-5yrs ago and now plays at Ganmain and asked him what std is like and he reckons RFL is a bit quicked and more skilful comp. Bigger grounds than Hume but this year it may drop back as a lot of good players have left league. Sounds like there isn't to much of a difference to justify this points many points though.
