I worked with a bloke who's surname was Dick. He copped a fair bit of rot from people to be honest. At some stage he moved on and unbeknown to me, he changed his name so the people where now worked knew him by a different name. I was attending a meeting when I thought I saw a familiar face walk past, but some distance away. Naturally, I asked the people I was speaking with if that was ### Dick? They gave me a really strange look...

I did catch up with him and he told me he'd changed his name. Up until 2019 I'd see him on the train occasionally as he must live somewhere down my way these days.

Worked with a guy whose last name was Dick, he went to the Philippines and bought back a bride, her name was Aphelia, but he thought people would take the piss out of him, so he introduced her as Ida….this is hard to write through the tears, but I swear on my kids lives, it’s gospel.

Pardon the outside intrusion, but this one hits home for me.

While growing up, I was part of a church youth group and we had our own local footy team.

We used to get trounced every weekend (talking 100pt+ drubbings every time), and we all thought it was a nightmare being made to go to training and games every week by all of our parents and grandparents.

One year the church team was at risk of disbanding due to lack of funds for uniforms, rego and new equipment and we are all very relieved …. Until one of the parishioners reached out to North player Corey Jones

Anyway, to answer the original OP - I used to hate both Nahas & Waite. They’re shinboners now, but especially love what Waitey did for us. Seemed like a great guy to have around the club too.

Also, it’s a rarity that I dislike current North players, but I never liked Daniel Pratt.

So Caleb Daniel i̶s̶/was my least favourite player in the AFL. I've never had a player I wanted to see more get absolutely pile drived by Xerri so I could see a slow-mo replay of his helmet flying through the air as blood sprayed across the screen. But I'm an adult... My opinion can change and I can grow and learn to love.

I guess my point is... Has there been anyone else in North's delicious history that you have hated from another team that you have had to learn to love once they have been traded to join the Shinboners?
