Dogs beat Saints by 23 points.

It worked for the Melbourne guy didn't it!

the six-day breaks are starting to add up for st kilda

team is playing like they know they're about to lose their draft picks for the next 2 years

dogs are favourites even if the bookies don't think so

Don't agree that it would be an upset, I think you'll find the Dogs will start favourites.

Looking forward to the match though, should be a good contest.

The Doggies have failed their 2 biggest tests so far this year, against the Pies and Lions, and have only beaten the 2 bottom teams and an undermanned Hawthorn.

They started to show good signs on Friday night against the Crows, but they are still turning the ball over far too often in the back half to be considered a top 4 team.

The Saints are definitely favourites in this game, even without Riewoldt, because they have the structure and discipline to punish teams like the Dogs that are suspect under pressure.

Umps will still find a way to give him a free, even if he's in the stands.

I can see it now.

Umpire bounces and the second umpire immediately whistles. "Free Kick! It's Nick's ball" Riedwoldt looking perplexed on the big screen begins to hobble his way down to the ground in his suit with matching St Kilda tie. "It's against you Brian" the umpire tells Lake "You were obstructing him, he didn't have the ball and was more than 5 ,metres away" Lake immediately questions this "You have to be ****ing kidding me". The umpire blows his whistle again "50 METRES!!! 50 METRES AGAINST YOU BRIAN". Meanwhile Riedwoldt is still having issues negotiating the stairs. Kosi runs over and asks the umpire if he can take it, the umpire quickly responds "No" looking almost insulted "Why would I give you a free?"

I'm expecting a loss.

I don't think we missed Riewoldt that much last night. I think what hurt us most was Gram missing and then Goddard playing so much time forward. With Gram and Goddard running the lines and roosting the ball from 50-60 out I think we get up last night.

Not really sure why Goddard didn't go into the middle sooner but I'd expect him to be there on Friday.

I think the dogs by a couple is about right. Lyon isn't worried about winning every game. I really think we will just do enough to finish top four and then put the foot down come finals ala Geelong last season.... I hope..... :(:(:(
