I came across this HANDICAP betting type on the website IASbet.com.
Does this HANDICAP bet give $5.50 to get within 40 points (10 games) of the minor premiership? Is that how this bet type works?
With Geelong and Stkilda both being +0 does this mean $21 and $12 for the minor premiership respectively.
Can someone please explain this HANDICAP betting in simple terms please

No it does not.

At the end of the H&A season you add every team's handicap to the points they actually accumulated on the ladder. Then, the team with the highest score after that is the winner. That's the simple answer, if you want a more complicated response then read below.

Say Geelong wins the minor premiership with 19 wins. They have 76 points and a handicap of 0 - final tally 76.

Melbourne have 7 wins for 28 points and a handicap of +40 for a total of 68 points.

Let's say North Melbourne finish with 11 wins for 44 points and a handicap of +36, final tally 80, they win (assuming none of the other 13 teams had a higher final tally than 80.

Is it just the team your betting on that gets handicap points added to it.. or all of them?

WCE are a bargain. If they got 12 wins and barely scraped into the finals the top team (assuming Geelong or St kilda top it) would need 18 wins to beat them.

With 12 home games thats not much of a stretch.
