i struggle too, especially new batsmen and early in the innings. its hard enough to score 4 an over let alone 6

sometimes ill have someone like Jaques set to normal or a bit aggressive, and Gilchrist very aggressive, it comes off sometimes, other times i end up losing quick wickets

I bat the oppeners at full agression until they go out just to make quick runs early and then allow 3 and 4 build a longer partnership.

Now my top order is this
Gilchrist
Jacques
Ponting
Hayden

Gilchrist i bat on full agression, usally makes 40 or so off 20 balls, on a good day more. Jacques plays second man to Gilchrist before he goes out, then goes agressive, then try and build a partnership between Ponting and Hayden.

how do u guys play ur one dayers.....i struggle 2 post big scores most of my bats only average about 25 or 30 but the same bats average 45 and over in test?
I put the aggresion bar to 4 for the openers, and when their a quater settled i put it to five. Then after 20 overs set it to six (with two more notches left). Then depending on how many wickets you have in hand you can put it up to 7 and 8. This has taken me to 1st on the one day rankings, but i do have a better batting line up then most of you (dont mean to brag).:)

By the way I hate how the squads always reset after each series and the comp automatically picks the squad. I end up losing players that were performing alright.
yes that is one of my major complaints about this game as is at the end of the season when they dont tell you who has retired.

With India, my current test side has 7 players with a bat ave of over 60

Tendulkar 15,000+ test runs, Dravid 13,000+ test runs
Harbhajan 600+ test wickets, still a few more years in him, he is only 30
Kumble took 714 test wickets before retiring.

One of my new players, now older and more experienced is averaging 70+ with over 4500 test runs at age 24, name changed to G Robinson (my brother)

I will get the newest stats sheet up on here soon...can be seen on BigCricket :D

Does anyone have any hints for bowling at all. At both test and odi level.
What aggression? Do you bowl opposite of the batters preferences etc.?
Also are there any good Aussie bowlers to take over the aging bowlers past 2007. I have gone through a plethora but none of them are good enough.
In other words, how the hell do you bowl better in this game.

With bowling i always bowl 2 bars aggression in both FC and OD's, but ive found out an awesome way to bat in onedayers.

when the batsmen first come in put them on 2 bars. after every 15 balls that they face put them up one more each time til theyve faced 60 balls and will be on 6 bars of aggression, and should already have 40 runs on the board, and then after the 30 over mark, put them up to 7 bars. i go up one bar after 10-15 balls, depending on if im chasing a big total. also, i go with 7 bars of aggression from the 25th over onwards, but take off 2 overs for each wicket, eg. wait til 31st over if 3 down etc. i know its complicated but ive won 12 games in a row out of 12 that ive used it and the average score is 238 in 45 overs matchs, highest of 318, lowest of 190.

mighty pies ur thing is awesome..... 1st four games have scored over 300 every time!
lol thanks mate.

My England team right now is awsome. In 2016, just won my 3rd straight world cup and absolutely thrashing South Africa, for who AB de Villiers is batting number 10:eek: because they have so many all rounders. My batting line up with their test averages is:
Strauss 49.5
K.Dicks 68.96
A.Garside 66
M.Granville 55
K.Pietersen 58
I.Bell 50
J.Anthony 55 (Keeper)
A.Garside scored 409 against Australia, but was 210 when number 10 came in, and had a 140 run partnership with number 11.

its interesting how south africa have no problem with all rounders but as an australian coach i have never really had an outstanding all rounder cam white went alright but that was it
Yea against me they arent playing a frontline bowler, all their bowlers are allrounders. All average 30-40 with the bat, makes it bloody hard to bowl them out when their number 11 is averaging 39 in first class.

2011 World Cup with India.

M Robinson (Me), G Robinson (My Brother) and Tendulkar have been outstanding in what has been, so far, an unbeaten run.

11	A Salvi 139	13.90	85	24.69

This game is so freaking addictive.

Came runners up in the world cup.

Ponting is having a massive form slump and is just getting out of it now, while Hayden is having a shocker so i have dropped him. Jaques is a little inconsistent and Gilchrist is struggling. Watson is a star with both bat and ball, but my best batsmen would have to be Cosgrove, absolute star and averaging 65+ with the bat. While Langer is also very good for me. My bowling attack rotates, after warne retired McGill played but did fairly ordinary and i was ********ed off to find no Dan Cullen in the game..and since i refused to play with Hauritz i just edited him to Dan Cullen. Cant tell im South Australian with a bowling line-up of Gillespie, Rofe (who is a star), Tait (can be incosistent) and Cullen, while Lee is a dud so Bracken is usually my back up bowler and he does a good job.

My back up batsmen include both Hussey's, Symonds, Clarke but usually Ben Cameron from SA who does surprisingly well. Im still top in Test Rankings and equal top in ODI but it certainly is a challenge.

Awesome game.

Ha! And i thought my team was good! Salvi and Gagandeep are the pnly bowlers who have actualy consistently beaten my batsmen, and i just cant bowl India out coz all their batsmen have the same ability.

Anyone got an idea if they will bring out an updated version of this at all, considering the last edition was released back in 1998/99 ?

i wouldnt think so, but if your after an updated roster, i know for a fact there is one on cricketweb.net so have a look through that. I was totally hooked on that new roster until i upgraded my computer to XP and i does not work on XP.
