If big Will's big Toe is giving him too much grief, who would you have come in? Everitt, a very mobile Ruckman, or Skipper, who has the strength, but hasnt proven himself.

Dont wanna hear "it doesnt matter - he'll play" this is a hypothetical.

Problem is both Everitt and Skipper are going to get destroyed at ruck contests by King/Gardiner, particularly outside the centre square. Skipper stands more chance of holding his own there but it's still unlikely.

Therefore, if Minson is out, whoever we bring in has to be for reasons other than rucking and given that and given Everitt's versitility and run, I would be picking him.

As for Everitt going forward, if he does, Blake will come off his man and take him so for that to work, we can't be playing a loose man in our defence which is what we'd want to do when we're likely to be beaten in the ruck contests.

Really hoping Minson comes up.

If Minson doesn't play? That is a big IF. Everitt will probably come in and Huddo will have to work extra hard in Will's absence. I can't see them bringing Skip in if he hasn't played all year.

Minson will play, I'm not concerned about it.

Surely Tom Williams would have to come in if Minson doesn't. Williams actually has an appropriate height for a ruckman and is also fairly strong. Not to mention, I heard Everitt was playing soft at Willi, in finals football, you need to add a lot of toughness to the game.

Cam Wight has been playing off and on in the twos at Willi.....Thats the seconds/magoos/2's, not the seniors.
He blew his career long ago.

if for whatever reason Minson is unable to play Skipper will. And what a fantastic story it would be. He has battled manfully in the VFL this year and is favourite to win the league best and fairest.

He would hold his own in the ruck and seeing Minson has entirely forgotten how to mark a ball up forward, i think Skipper would actually improve the team. Whilst Skipper is not as strong as Will, he changes direction a little quicker than an ocean liner and would not be the same liability on the rebound when up forward.

It would be sad for Will to miss, but he has lost his verve in recent weeks in has become just a ruckman. I would like to see him take the game on a bit more.

I thought Skipper was definitely NEVER going to play for the WB again, but I doubt that Rocket is playing funny buggers by naming him as an emergency - he must be seriously considering him and that contingency will be if Minson is not fit. Clearly there are serious concerns about Minson's little piggy.

As Yebiga posted what a story if he came in! Skipper played one game (R22) in 2008 and he played the last six in 2007.

I suspect that Williams may come in but it would be for Callan or Welsh. It's a different tactic to who plays ruck.

To those who say Everitt, he seems to have cruelled his chances with a slack couple of games for willi. Rocket made it clear that form at Williamstown was critical to getting a game and who has been BoG for Willi recently? Callan and Skipper.

Minson's a bit of a liability. Hasn't done anything up forward for a long time. If he's not fit, it might be a blessing in disguise.

I'd be happy to drop Minson & Welsh, and bring in Skipper & Everitt.
