After watching a terrible game of football and then coming on bigfooty to see 10 topics about richmond i thought why not post another.

I've read in many posts that you think we have an alrite list and some few good youngsters. So put it to me and you tell me what you think should happen. Would wallace have an immediate effect on players like bowden and ottens?

For the list sake this is in my opinion the best richmond side out of the list i have come out of when all fit and in form.

B: Ty Zantuck ~ Darren Gasper ~ Andrew Kellaway
HB: Aaron Fiora ~ Ray Hall ~ Chris Newman
C: Justin Blumfield ~ Kane Johnson ~ Greg Tivendale
HF: Andy Krakouer ~ Brad Ottens ~ Wayne Campbell
FF: Joel Bowden ~ Matty Richo ~ Dave Rodan
Foll: Greg Stafford ~ Mark Coughlan ~ Nathan Brown
INT: Mark Chaffey ~ Tim Fleming ~ Rory Hilton ~ Shane Morrison
EMG: Ben Marsh ~ Matt Rogers ~ Shane Tuck

Alot of questions will be asked at the end of season. I think richmond are in for a very aggressive trade week. So who in your opinion should we trade/delist. What type of players do we need and would terry wallace be a good coach for our cattle?

Alot of questions there but im worried about our club and the way it is now. Travis cloke will probably now end up at collingwood due to the way richmond are playing etc.

I'm sorry, but that is not a wooden spoon team.

There are some bloody good players there, and whilst not the worlds greatest team, it's not a team that should be gunning for the wooden spoon.

They should be a team that's battling for one of the last finals spot.

The players have to start being accountable for their inconsistency (well actually they're being consistently crap atm).

They do need a new coach. The board must try something, and they're gonna have to be fairly agressive in trade week, and lay it on the line to some players.

I.e. those who are overpaid need to have pay reductions.

They need to be tough and make some hard decisions.

Casey and Miller have to be prepared to put a few noises out of join otherwise the club is going no where in a hurry.....

I think from the game the biggest worry is that with 4 mins left till half time Richmond had 3.2 to Adelaides 70 points. Meaning they only had 5 scoring shots.

By that i mean if it was 2.7 at least you could think well we're not being completely outplayed, but our forward are ****ing up completely. But at 3.2, it means you've just had no real chances and you've just been completely smashed.

The most tangible and immediate results would be increased sales for about a week or two for the Hun, and maybe a slight increase in the veiwers watching TFS the following Thurs.

Richmond need a coach with nothing to prove (Wallace, Eade, Sheedy) to come in there and be given full control of the list, with no influence from the board who are only thinking $$. If that means 20 players including some of the higher profile ones are traded/delisted then so be it.

Wallace said he won't take on a coaching job mid season and I think that's exactly why - he wants his own list.

How do you figure that Wallace has nothing to proove ?

Wallace has less of a successful record as a coach than Ayres.

an agressive sell off of players isnt what they need... they need Cougs to have the Ostiiti pubis operation and get it over with they need richo in thier side and they need a little grunt.

Basically i reakon they need Terry Wallace...

What are there winning percentages?I rate Ayres as a coach and dont think he should be in any danger but I think Wallace has proven himself as at the very least a good game day coach. He fell for the same trick Ayres has by trying to get to much out of a team before they lost some top line senior players to old age and injuries. Both could probably learn a bit off Sheedy about continually developing a list.I think Ayres has inherited two sides in his coaching career that were already set up and proven for him whereas Wallace took virtually the wooden spooners and next Fitzroy to two consecutive preliminary finals.Pretty much saved a football club.

Almost any coaching change is going to see immediate results.

To have played so poorly for so long, & to seem to be actualy getting WORSE says to me that a major cleanout is in order, so put in a caretaker coach till season end & get on with it.

I have to agree with Black Thunder. Richmond has a decent list.

The problem is their coach and management. The players have given up and that is a reflection of the coach. Spud will be gone in under two weeks.

I doubt Wallace would change things this year. Give him a full pre-season next year and they will probably win 12 games.

Whoever is appointed coach of the RFC, they MUST clean out ALL the dead wood. Similar to the way Malcolm Blight did when he was 1st appointed coach of the Crows. I'm talking the Bowdens, Kellaways, Gaspars, Chaffey etc etc etc.

Richmond are the prime example of where the draf has failed. Richmond have been middle-or-the-road mediocre, thus having a mediocre team at present. St.Kilda have been absolute tripe for a number of season, and now on the back of all their prioity and early 1st round draft selections, are a top team. Admittedly, Rihmond could have used the trade week a whole lot better and come away with at least 'something'. But they have made the decision to stick with their overpriced and underwhleming players. Probably a result of other clubs not wanting them!

Well done black thunder you are a smart one. Thats pretty much exactly how me and most of my tiger supporters feel about the club. I mean we have had a few top 5 draft picks in fiora, Ottens, Hilton, Pettifer etc and look only 2 of them have done sumthing the other two havent done anything yet. I recall greg miller saying we are still rebuilding.

Thats rubbish. IMO we need to see frawley stay to the end of the year. Then take hold of the raines and clear out alto of things.

We need to get some of the legends back at the club.

Coaching staff for one- Bring back matty knights he is coaching for someone down in sanfl i think. He can be our midfield coach and would be much better than brittain.

Benny gale to be the rucking coach.

And we need to bring back the guys like jaime tape

Tommy hafey, KB and rex all have to be there aswell at least doing something. We need a fresh start and as someone said on the tiger board we need to have 1st National Draft Pick, 1st Priority Pick, 1st Rookie Draft Pick and what ever the other one is.

That's the argument I was looking for ;)

Your opinions on the clubs rebuilding have certainly turned full circle.Over pre season you probably posted more on the bulldogs board gloating about how good your trades and draft picks were than you posted on your own teams board and now your changing your tune.We warned you about the quick fix....
