Lots of chat in the media about collingwood's rebuild etc but putting aside father son and NGA selections and some astute pick ups like Noble or Markov this year, the Pies have a lot of the same players as the side that made the grand final in 2018.

They'll absolutely be good for quite a few more years as their best players are probably in the prime years (or are a Daicos) but they aren't a young team at all.

6 of the 7 oldest players on the Pies list are playing tonight which bumps that average age up ie. Pendlebury(35), Howe(33), Sidebottom(32), Mihocek(30), Mitchell(30) and Elliott turns 31 next week. Mr USA(32) the one missing

By contrast Zorks our oldest at 34 is playing but our next 3 oldest players are not ie. Rich(33), Gunston(31) and Lyons(31).

Haven't had a good thorough look at other years, but this was our oldest team in 2004. Final regular season round vs Kangaroos:

That's an exceptionally old team for that particular era.
