The anti-Rossers wouldn't know what to do. We win a final and confirm we are on the right track and that the games won targets they want have been met, when in reality it is probably a backward step in terms of the club's progress towards a serious premiership tilt.
Yeah mate. Finals experience for the 21 players that aren't Sandilands would definitely be a backwards step :$. Bottoms up brother Gavin.

Blakely, McCarthy and Logue all looking like they might be back playing this week. Stephen Hill with the good 'ol 6 weeks down to 5-6 weeks... treatment. Ballas and Sturt join the TBA mob. Kersten finally out of TBA - he'll no doubt be 4-5 weeks next week.

Wow, the club one came out early, probs because of Saturday game.

Realistically, given three tests will almost certainly play somewhere this week and Sandi and Bennell are cooked, I'd say we are only a Stephen Hill away from having the best 22 available. Exciting times

I would personally put Sturt in the gym for a month or two before bringing him back and make him wear a helmet for the rest of his career. Was always going to be a long termer so risking concussion issues at this stage is asking for trouble. Given the guy he had contact with on the weekend ended up in hospital, its not like he's getting concussion from small impacts yet so I hope we are conservative and rule him out for a while

It’s his second concussion so they will take a very conservative view. When he is ready for cognitive assessment I’d expect he would then and only then progress to light duties for a month. Id say he is a good 6-8 weeks which puts him after the mid season bye. Could be longer and even on light duties he would struggle with gym work but he can go hard on the food

As much as I want to see Sturt out on the field, this is probably the right approach.

Get him in the weight room, and let his brain fully recuperate.
Don’t want him to have any long term issues.

Too be fair both concussions he’s had have been from legitimately big hits, and not from innocuous incidents, so hopefully he can build his body and come back stronger.

Probably wouldn’t hurt for him to continue playing half back setting up the play when he is back playing.

Good to hear Logue and Blakely are all good. Blakely I'll bring straight back in because he's a walk up selection imo. Logue I'd say play him in Peel for a bit and make him earn that spot back. Our defence is pretty solid at the moment.

Least points conceded after 5 rounds, solid is about right =)
