Courtney Johns in. PLay out of goal square, promise him 100% of the game time, and tell him that he wont be dropped for they year. We are going to finish bottom 4 anyway. See what he has got. If he keeps going up and down we will never see anything. A couple of years ago he played 2-3 games where he looked really impressive. I believe that with confidence shown in him we might get another glimpse of that.
Besides, everytime we went inside 50 today, llyod had 3 to beat as their was no real targets other than him. So with someone the size of Johns, he will be able to take some heat off Lloyd. Dyson needs to come in. he would have got the ball monfries got, but disposal is 10 times better. Monfries needs to go. Watson to come in. McPhee down back.

In: JJ, McPhee, NLM, Watson, Pears
Out: Monfries, Daniher, Laycock, Houli, Slattery/WInderlich

I think Houli could do with a run in the reserves, not because his form means he should be dropped, but just to give him a rest with some match practice, if that makes sense.

If Winderlich's groin is still going to be problematic, then just rest him. There's really no point pushing him while we have no chance of making the finals.

No chance?
If we win every game for the rest of the season we'll make them ;)

i would kick out laycock but i think we need ryder to play on richo

so
ins: mcphee, NLM, pears, watson
outs: winderlick, daniher, monfries, and a bit controversial but stanton??

he didnt really have the excuse of a tight tag today and all he seems to do is get the easy kicks and quick handballs our the back, butchered the ball on a number of occasions

ryder will get found out if richo plays on the wing. hasnt got the tank to play on him at there.

INS: Mcphee, NLM, Johnson, Pears, Watson

OUTS: Daniher, Laycock, Jetta, Slattery, and one more

Really need to bring some more experienced heads in the team after a few thrashings in a row.

yeah i didnt mean for the whole match though... obviously you would switch a bit, maybe give ryder most of the game on him but rest him down back on a less mobile opponent in patches..
we really dont have anyone else to stop richo..

He's not even that! Nor ever will be.
Ok, this Stanton bagging is getting ridiculous. What do you expect from him? He ran hard, he was found in the packs more, he had 5 tackles and also had 19 touches when half the team struggled to get 15. He wasn't our worst player today and was better than a majority of the team. As a 22 year old, he is expected to carry a midfield when at most other clubs, he wouldn't have that responsibility

i agree he was probably more in and under then i have seen him in a while which is encouraging but what annoys me is when a player marks the ball goes back 10 meters looking for an option instead of providing an option further up the ground he runs behind the player for a cheap kick, he doesnt have a good disposal so he should just let the player with the ball kick it instead of picking up useless stats..
he played better then what he has for most of the season but he still picks up the easy possessions that mean nothing and often put the team in a worse position due to his poor disposal

Dyson is better than Monfries.

You Monfries fans have issues. The kid has never shown anything in the midfield. All he has ever shown is some goals as a small forward.

Dyson has ZERO defensive pressure, at least Monfries tackles. If Dyson played today we would have got lapped by 120 points!

5 tackles! That's a career 1st. His 1st kick went straight to the opposition as normal. Must be the reason why this club is a rabble at present, Most people actually believe that Brent is a important player to the side. He does nothing!!!!! He gets the pill runs, stops, runs backwards, disposess of the ball by hand or foot straight back to the opposition majority of the time.

It is what he's been TOLD TO DO. You think he just does it of his own accord every single week?

And his disposal is pretty good. Much better that many other guys, which is why they're giving the ball to him.

If everyone else on our list used the footy as well as Stanton and could cover the ground like he does we'd be in a much better place.

He is a 22 year old in a midfield that has only one experienced player (McVeigh) who gets tagged closely every week (must average 3+ free kicks every week due to being held by taggers, and that's just when the ump is looking). He has been moved from an outside role to an inside one this year and he is still one of our most consistent players.

The Stanton bagging on this forum is a disgrace. If Stanton was dropped then the opposition would have the luxury of tagging McVeigh and then we'd truly get destroyed in the midfield.

Give it a rest.

Clueless.... How anyone can bag Stanton is beyond me, if all the players in our team worked as hard as him we'd be much more competitive.
