Ins and Outs vs Brisbane

You're missing the point.

McVeigh playing half a game in the AFL in the forward pocket is more beneficial to our side than having him play in the VFL.

You can find match fitness at AFL level if you're good enough to hold down a position outside the midfield. McVeigh is.

I disagree. He looks a long way off playing atm which will mean by the time he does come back that he has played 1 competitive game of football in 3 months ontop of no pre season.

The bloke isnt James Hird, Mcveigh is a solid footballer who is an average forward.

He came straight back in against North Melbourne and he was completely out of sorts, now he is spending another month on the sidelines.

He should show he can get through a VFL game first before coming into the seniors.

Well he may as well run around the block a few times during the week then.

You know exactly what I meant :p

Cruise on forward/back flank = game time and match conditioning.

Look the chances are that he will come straight back into the seniors straight up, but I would just prefer to see a more conservative approach with the senior guys which I don't see as a bad thing.

I've already said that Reimers and Hurley will come back via the VFL and Daniher probably into the seniors given he has only missed 2 games.

At the end of the day we all want a fit and firing McVeigh to get back to the form of Round 1-3 2008 ASAP, whichever way that happens is fine by me, I'm just voicing my opinion.

*Splutters*

Has everyone forgotten what a bloody good footballer he is.

FFS he could have had a chance at the Brownlow last year with a bit of luck with injury.

Daytripper, he isnt an elite footballer.

He has developed into a good ball winning midfielder who can push forward and expose his opponent.
