Saw Freddy Flintoff in town when the last were here for the adelaide test top bloke the best of all celbs/sportsman i have met worst would have to be Warney unfortunately.

Oh, and Billy Connolly is a top bloke. I just really wish I had known who he was while I was talking to him, instead of a workmate filling me in after he'd gone.

Probably liked the fact you didnt realise who he was. Im pretty sure he's well known for telling people to **** off if they come up to him in the street/cafe or whatever.

I'm not one to go up to celebs and personalities as I just think that maybe they don't want all these people harassing them, but the two notable ones are both in the 'good' category:

Steve Waugh for a book signing, but I guess you can't delve into that too much - he knows to be nice, but I'm sure he is.

And the other is Eddie Vedder a year and a bit back. Pearl Jam had just finished a two hour set nearing the end of thier 12 show tour of Aus and he came out to meet the fans who had hung around (about 15 of us) and went round to each of us, shook our hands and asked questions about each of us. He was absolutely fecked though - voice was croaky and he'd prob powered through a couple bottles of wine during the show.
He came across as genuinly interested in getting to know the fans and giving us a special moment - all well after midnight, drunk, tired and another show to do the next night.
He even took someones phone and told the person on the line at the other end that he was not Eddie Vedder! LOL

Came in to work no more than 15 minutes after my last post on here to buy a mac.
Was f**king awesome, funny, down to earth (amazing because he is a indian cricketer).
We're out of stock on that computer but he said "thats ok, always tomorrow, you bring it I pay now, you meet whole indian team"

His helper was a bit of a f**kwit tho.

i had a practise session at melbourne cricket centre just happened to be there when hodgey having a extra hit a couple weeks back, gave pointers, chatted couple autographs and photos, went out on the satday, did everything he said and got bowled 1st jaffer:mad:

still good of him but

My friend is in America at the moment, he ran into Paris Hilton. She completely ignored him, but you don't expect much from her anyway.
He should've taken it as a blessing. The only reason she's got a name, apart from being born into a rich family, is because people always go up to her. I'm of the firm belief the more people leave Paris Hilton alone, the quicker she'll disappear. And that couldn't be quick enough for me.

millsy?

Good:

Paul "Big Show" Wight: Legend bloke, very nice, friendly and chatty. Spent 2-3 hours after the Wrestlemania Revenge Tour ?2005? just chatting to people and signing autographs. He had time for everyone that wanted to see him.

Glen Jakovich: Met him on about 5 occassions (including the Perth Footy Clinic where he injured his ankle in his final season a few years back - he was only a few metres away from me at the time of the injury - he jumped up to mark my kick (we were kicking some goals and he, Hansen and Edwards were behind the goals with Kerr and Wirra out with the kids about 25 out) and landed on a few balls rolling towards him and fell over :()

I feel kinda guilty about that, but he was really nice every time I have met him.

Allistair Pickett: Came to my school in Year 7 for I think ASPA week? Anyway was playing footy with all the kids at lunch (there was a young bloke about 17-19 called Eddie Wood with him) and had time to talk to everyone, talked to me for about 5 minutes just about footy until the siren went. He remembered me when we came back out after lunch for the footy clinic! :D

Other Nice Guys: Troy Wilson, Dean Cox, Michael Gardiner, Jeff Farmer (even though I was wearing an Eagles jumper), Roger Hayden, Aaron Sandilands, Mitch Brown, James Thomson, Eric MacKenzie

The Bad:

Andrew Embley: Met him a few times and was nice most times but this particular occasion he was at a kids footy clinic at Claremont and didnt have time for anyone. One kid I saw trying to talk to him he was like "yeh" and basically ignored him. Talked on his mobile for half of it.

I've met most of the Eagles squad, most are really nice guys, only really had 1 occassion where someone was being a tosser.

we had cain ackland to one of ours a couple of years ago, a complete w***er that turned up an hour late, hungover and only stayed for 20minutes. of that 20 minutes, he walked around with his hands in his tracky pants and just watched the kids go through their drills, didn;t touch a footy. then went into the primary school toilets for a spew.
a real credit to the afl and st.kilda for sending him, nothing like putting back into grass roots footy.

Good
Wendell Sailor
Brad and Chris Scott
Merv Hughes
Mick De Vere (former Brisbane Broncos player)
Jess Sinclair
Glen Archer
The Coors

The ugly
Matt Preston from Masterchef
Jason Akermanis
Steven Bradbury

Bennett comes across as a miserable pr&$k. What did he say?
I was in Toowoomba where my parents live these days and was down the street with my young nephew who had just recovered from a brain tumour and his parents had just divorced. He is a mad Broncos fan. We saw Wayne Bennett down the street and I said to my nephew, "Let's go and get his autograph". We walked up to him and I said, "Hi Wayne". He didn't answer, just jumped in his car and drove off.

The bit on bold doesn't have anything to do with this situation, does it - unless he has a sixth sense for telling which kids are recovering from cancer or have divorced parents

Maybe he was in a hurry or had already said hi to 100 kids and needed to leave?

True, but not many 7 year olds go around with shaved heads unless they are sick. He could have at least said "Hi" before he jumped in his car, rather than just ignore us.

Broad talked a guy out of suicide in Australia during the 2013/14 series. Not as much of a flog as some suggest.
