5 senior players look set to get the chop, not sure if it includes BJ or not, if it doesn't it'll be something like this.

Didak
Krak
Jolly
Shaw (trade)
Maxy (some might be shocked, but he has become a nothing player, almost a liability)

Coming apart at the seams.

Not the powerhouse we once were, with players wanting too stay and always keeping the people and players we want too.

Ah well, the 90s have a sick nostalgia too them.....and some days and nights at the MCG next year, may just seem like they have returned.
Are you being serious?

Hutchy on talking footy said jolly had a falling out with bucks.
Expecting another article about Roos being the best coach ever, and Buckley and Daniher were both morons.

As long as Grundy doesn't write an article about Jolly's attitude to him at training I'm all good. ;)

Gold coast have come out and said they are looking for a mature aged running HBF willing to part with 1st rounder if needed.

Would be the only reason I'd move Shaw on if we could secure a top 15 DP.

I don't want this current core of players to be stuck in no mans land over the next 5 years by holding off on a proper rebuild while we finish 5th -8th the next 3 years before going the whole hog.

Reckon they get Collingwood games up there?

We might be able to gift them Russell. ;)

Let's look at these one by one:

Thomas is gone(Carlton: definitely on the cards, but has not played top football for 2 years and is still injured so a top pick for him and some cap relief mignt not be all bad.

Jolly: been a good servant, struggled to get picked late in the year and rumour is he is going to finish at MFC.

Krakoeur: Lost the hunger and the will to get up for games, time to go

Maxwell: Can't see him being delisted but can see him losing the captaincy and battling for his slot - looked very slow of late.

Didak: Probably time to retire unless he wants more of the same next year ie: spending a lot of time running around in the VFL

Shaw wants out: lot of flare up over his indiscretions in the final, lets see after it all settles down.

Bloody unsourced rumours! Of course if one chucks enough s*** at the wall some of it's bound to stick! Whichever players do retire/leave/are delisted, we will no doubt find someone heard a 'rumour' about it if we look. I think we learn more about Collingwood 'supporters' from these things than anything else. If I put up a rumour here saying player x wants to leave, someone will respond by saying something like "Good riddance' each & every time. (OK, prolly not Brodie... this week). I put it to you that 90% of such rumours are the product of someone who wants to sow disunity and disloyalty among Collingwood people. They invariably cause slanging matches, and are deliberately divisive.
If the entirety of this particular rumour becomes fact I will happily bare me bum in Bourke St! A Collingwood captain delisted!? Gimme a break! I know we're famous for treating former greats incredibly poorly, but that one takes the chockies!
The response to the Shaw rumour really highlights how many people just don't understand Collingwood's position or how it won the 2010 flag. We are already suffering greatly from the lack of experienced Collingwood players. Losing experienced guys does far more than simply create room for kids, it gives another team huge insight into our methods and tactics, It means one less guy to help bring out the best in our young players, and greatly harms the culture inside the Westpac Centre. Heater is far more than a talented and experienced part of our backline who creates much of our run from half-back (although that has been compromised greatly this season without Tooves).
A professional player has to sacrifice a great deal these days, especially a kid. He can no longer go out with his mates whenever he likes, he has to train pretty much every day, and the other guys at the club become more than just mates, they become like family, they're the people he sees every day, the people who guide and shape him, and within that family there must be people playing all types of roles. There needs to be older players he can turn to for advice from everything from running patterns to keeping girlfriends, there needs to be 'examples' he can look up to, and vitally, there needs to be guys who make him laugh, guys who are fun to hang around with, as well as guys his own age who are sharing this experience with him. Heater is the clown at Collingwood, he's the one who has a drink, the one who plays pranks, the one who gets guys laughing during brutal training sessions and trips overseas. It's guys like Heater who make interstate games and training camps fun, as well as bloody hard work. For years it's been Heater, Dids, Daisy, and Swanny that have kept the Westpac a fun place to be, who keep Maxy and Bucks from being bossy pains in the arse, and keep young superstars from believing their own press. These guys have made mistakes, sure, but they train a helluva lot harder than you think they do, and crucially they can use their experience and their mistakes to prevent the kids from making those mistakes themselves.
People need to give up the old idea that a Collingwood player can be measured and evaluated simply by what we see for two hours per week. That idea is ridiculously outdated and certainly doesn't do the club or its players any good. To most of us Collingwood exists for a couple of hours each week, but for players it's a world, their world. And if that world is not functioning well, in any of its parts, the results will affect those two hours per week.
It takes a village to raise a child, and similarly it takes a happy, unified, fully functioning Westpac Centre to produce champions and win flags.

RANT BOARD!

(But I like it ;) )

Easy enough to have a falling out with Jolly over his newspaper articles alone over the year. I missed the beginning of Footy Classified. Did Hutchy say what the falling out was about?

sorry to pry on your board... but reminds me of aker and us a few years ago. saying things that just aren't what you want to hear from a player.

Think there been a Few Players who have Fallen out with Bucks.

Also Reckon Swan and Harry are not 100% Safe

If swanny, Harry, daisy, and Heath go we are stuffed. We can cover daisy, maybe even shaw... But swan and Harry also would be the greatest removal of talent from a club in the history of the game... I doubt bucks is going to want to bottom out next year, so he'll keep what he sees as a fair balance of quality and remove enough crap to ensure this club is still in with a chance for next year..... I have no doubt we will be 2-6th next season. Bucks might be angry but he is very intelligent and driven. He will make us the man u of the afl.

And he will be Sir Alex Ferguson

If Swan goes we are crazy. He doesnt really cause massive trouble. hes 29/30 so we wont get much for him. And def wont get something worth that he puts out every week. e.g. 30 touches and a goal kicking mid. would be crazy. wed be lucky to get a second rounder for him....

I highly doubt he is going anywhere.

We also wont trade both Heath and Harry O, 1 might be floated but at the right price.
