So he’s dropping a bomb on Israel?

‘there will be ALL HELL TO PAY in the Middle East, and for those in charge who perpetrated these atrocities against Humanity,’ he said.

I don't think Trump will get the USA involved militarily. If we're honest anything since Vietnam has been a disaster. Trump will probably just let Israel run wild and turn a blind eye to any atrocities that are committed.

That’s happening now, seriously the world has turned a blind eye for months. Many many dead every day in Gaza, the fact we hear nothing about it in the mainstream shows you how the system works.

Trump will build Trump Tower in Gaza, no doubt the USA will be involved in building condos there, not to mention the gas and oil. Just watch and see.

Yes, if Trump's previous four years is any guide he talks tough but does nothing. All that 'rocket man' talk re North Korea was just that- talk.

The Israeli lobby in the US is pretty powerful and Trump has bent over for the Israelis in the past. In 2018 Trump moved the US Embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem to please the Israelis. That move did not mean much militarily but it was symbolic.

South Korea's suddenly gotten a bit wobbly, with their pres declaring martial law - is Diaper Don gonna give his mate Kim a friendly warning not to try anything?

Donald is a wealthy man with absolutely no sense of history. He would not realise that the USA dropped two nuclear weapons on Japan in 1945. It would not occur to him that Hamas is entrenched in Gaza and dropping three nuclear weapons on Gaza would result in nuclear fallout descending on Israel.

Donald shoots his mouth off without thinking and that makes him dangerous.

German Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock announced increased surveillance in the Baltic Sea after a Russian ship fired at a Bundeswehr helicopter during a mission.

The crew of a Russian ship in the Baltic Sea fired signalling ammunition at a Bundeswehr helicopter, which was conducting a reconnaissance mission, according to German press.
German Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock mentioned the incident on the fringes of a NATO meeting in Brussels, but did not give any details.

Baerbock announced on social media platform X that surveillance of pipelines and data cables in the Baltic Sea would be stepped up as hybrid threats from Russia and its supporters were on the rise. The use of signalling ammunition is only permitted in emergencies.

"Putin is attacking our peace order with hybrid attacks," the minister wrote.

Rebels are within 6km from Assad’s palace. Locals are tearing down Assad images & signs 15 minutes from the Palace. Russia is fleeing Tartus port and Iran is evacuating forces. An emergency meeting to be held between Turkey, Iran, Russia, Iraq, Egypt, Jordan, Qatar, and Saudi Arabia.
The Assad regime will be cut off from the Mediterranean Sea and access to the north through the strategic M5 highway
Russian military bases on the Mediterranean will be effectively blocked, will find themselves in a difficult position and will not be able to seriously support the Assad regime. It will be difficult for Iran to supply and help Assad and Hezbollah. It will be almost impossible to transport weapons to Hezbollah. This is a huge blow to Iran.
Reports just came out that Assad is willing to cut ties with Iran and Hezbollah.
Damascus is expected to fall as Syrian insurgents have surrounded the capital in a swiftly moving offensive, CBS News reported citing U.S. officials.

More evidence the Israeli President Benjamin Net

These Syrian rebels are not a united group some of them may want to cut ties with Hezbollah and Hamas but other factions may have other ideas. The largest of the factions is Hayat Tahrir al-Sham or HTS which has it's origins within al- Qaida and is considered a terrorist organisation by the UN and the US. What happens when they assume control is anyone's guess. There may even be open conflict within the rebel group as they jostle for power.

Once in power if the HTS leadership decides to side with Russia and Iran in return for arms and resources they will be giving tacit support to Hamas and Hezbollah regardless of the noises they are making at present.

Assad was a despot and had to go but I am not sure things are as rosy as they seem. Both Russia and Iran will pressure the new regime to do a deal. Turkey also has a stake in this as part of the rebel group are Kurds and the Turks are not too happy with the prospect of the Kurds getting a foothold in the running of a neighbouring nation.

As the US found out in Iraq overthrowing a dictator often causes as many problems as it solves. Hopefully that is not the case in Syria.

Yes, not a tear will be shed for Assad and may he go down with the ship.

Can only hope this works out favourably for the Syrian people, somehow. Whatever deals are cut next, hopefully it involved all Assad’s chemical weapons being surrendered or destroyed.

Given there are several groups coming together to overthrow Assad, I fear an Afghanistan type situation where one group will by shear force, like the Taliban did after Soviets were booted out, become the rulers and impose hardships on the other groups and become the new dictators.

Hopefully they can come to some arrangement where the different groups get to rule their area/district/province so there isn't a new civil war. I suspect there are some hard/tough/nasty people that head up some of these different rebel groups.

As posted HTS is an affiliate of al-Qaida and they could do anything. While I want to applaud the overthrow of Assad I am skeptical about the rebels. A power struggle is on the cards and I can see Iran supporting the HTS faction in return for HTS supporting Hezbollah and Hamas. The Middle East is full of intrigue and side deals abound.
