Commentators last night were critical of Tim David batting at 7 below Hosein. His role in the team is playing as a specialist batsman. Wasim Akram being one of the commentators that was critical.

Ben Dunk, Guptill, Odean Smith, Dwayne Bravo are all cooked and its funny to see.
Even alot of the local UAE players are better than all of them

And I think its fair to say that Tim David lacks the confidence with his defensive technique to even nudge a few singles here or there. I guess it proves even in the shortest of formats, you need to have a sound defensive technique to be able to survive. Its all good having power and muscle, but there will be times you have to look to rebuild innings and if your a specialist batsman, you cant do that- then you really are a liability to the side. Do also remember in BBL13 , David getting out quickly and cheaply when Hobart lost early top order wickets and he was asked to come in with a fair number of overs remaining. I guess rebuilding an innings isnt a thing he does.
Id say the coaching, Tim David , MI Emirates reckon his defensive technique is no good, even compared to someone like Hosein- who was batting too high at 6.
