Election denier and grifter by the sound of it. Needs a bit of super in his next life.

Democracy was on the ballot and Democracy won.

AmericanCrow While I have your attention. Serious question. How can this be so?

I just copied this from decision Desk
Donald J. Trump 1,711,802 Kamala Harris 1,526,754
Total 3,272,896

Senate
Ruben Gallego 1,617,406 Kari Lake 1,544,83
Total 3,234,041

Trump and Gallego are 180deg opposite in policy. Gallego received more votes than Kamela, so did Lake.

One would expect voters to vote down the ballot party wise in most cases. Surely voters wouldn't vote opposite
Voters do so all the time

Look at Cochise County—Dems and Republicans up and down ticket have wide disparities

I have nearly 4,000 more votes than Engel, but trail Gallego and Harris

Your US systems are strange.
I will take ours anyway. Saying that our federal senate and state upper house vote is totally next level strange.
Our voting is compulsory as well. I like that better.

Personal voting is a thing in Australia too, but I think it's more pronounced when people are voting for multiple offices from President down to County Recorder at the same time.

Got news for you, they do vote differently on the down ballot.

It appears that California is desperately trying to close that monumental gap between Harris’ vote count and Joe Biden’s now very curious “record” 81 million “votes”.

My prediction is that by Christmas, Harris will have 100 million votes, 40 million of which will be from California, making her the most popular non-president of all time.

Supposedly there are still 100k ballots to be counted and the margin is now less than 0.5%, which means a full recount is in order.

Not sure regarding asking for $$, you should accept the result once all the votes are counted.

Mind you someone still hasn’t accepted the 2020 result.

And yet this. If so damaging to Trump why didn't the Biden DOJ release it all, they tried all sorts of other lawfare against him?

I really hope we see the list... but some how I doubt it, given how hight profile many of the names will be.

This isn’t a discussion about his policies. I’m more than happy to have that discussion with you, but this isn’t it.

It’s a discussion about you and your crowd over there, somehow believing — against all the available evidence — that you still occupy the intellectual and moral high ground.

Noting this started with my post that you copied in from another thread which was specifically about Trump's policies and what happens next, but sure, happy to postpone our discussion about those policies to a later date.

I'm sure if you had a crippling inferiority complex you might call people holding different points of view to you "occupying the intellectual/moral high ground" or even "trying to take away my freedom of speech". Personally I would just call it 2 people with different opinions having a healthy debate. It continues to amuse me how sensitive and delicate you are whenever people call out your daft and mostly incorrect opinions.

It’s a discussion about you and your crowd over there, somehow believing — against all the available evidence — that you still occupy the intellectual and moral high ground.

It’s also about the propaganda news sources you consume that continue to ratify this delusional, broken belief system in all of you.

I’m old enough to remember you and some others over the last few years posting about how the Dems didn’t really create a border crisis, & how it was all a big conspiracy theory, and here, look at this chart proving that it’s all very complicated!

Aren’t you mad at the people who had you believe that bullshit? Don’t you possess the slightest ounce of introspection to determine they might be bullshitting you about a lot of other things too?

You have all spent the last three or four years crapping on about “democracy” and now democracy has delivered a crushing, terminal blow to your entire worldview, and your only response to that is…

I see.

And was it a crushing, terminal blow to your entire world view when Trump lost in 2020? What about when Labor won the 2022 election here in Aus and the 2024 election in the UK?

Do we just lurch from one terminal world view crushing event to another every 6 months, flip flopping from one side of politics to the other? F*** me, how dramatic. It must be stressful rattling around in your head during changes in government.

Claiming Trump's election as a decisive validation for each and every opinion you've ever held is exactly the sort of simplistic analysis we've come to expect from you Pete. There's a word for people like you who wrap their entire identity and happiness around the success of one man. It's called a cult.

Back in reality, the world is constantly changing. Like every other election, this one reveals something new about the people around us and why they voted a certain way. It's self evident that Trump's pitch to the American people was better and he deserved to win this time. No-one is disputing that.

There's an interesting and worthwhile discussion to be had about longer term socioeconomic trends and other factors that contributed to this result. There's also a discussion to be had about his policies, his competence and whether like Biden he's cognitively up to the job, and whether he is actually going to make life better for those who voted for them.

Happy to be proven wrong but as I said the other day, my prediction is he’ll spend the next 4 years doing what he’s always done, rage baiting about gay people and immigrants, then with a sleight of hand shifting more power and wealth and tipping the scales further in favour of his billionaire mates (Putin, Musk etc).

This is nothing new. If you've been around for long enough or picked up a history book about populist and right wing leaders in times of economic downturn, you'd know this playbook has been used many times before.

You haven’t been following the swing states very carefully, have you.

lol. Insulting someone repeatedly for the world to see ain’t banter. Especially for someone with an ego like Trump.

Rudd will have to resign soon.
lets hope not.

Our politicial positions shouldn't be dictated by some weak old man from another country.

Im sure you'd agree....if Rudd had been a member of the LNP 😉

The Epstein list is the most bipartisan thing in US politics. Will never see the light of day because there are too many powerful people on both sides with skeletons to hide.
Unfortunately I think you will be right.

People will kill to keep it quiet.

Will be (good) chaos if it gets released.

As much as Trump being reelected fills me with existential dread, I kind of want to see how this clown show is going to unfold.
So long as he doesn't have problematic influence on the wars.

Hopefully doesn't cause inflationary impacts too with tariffs.

Perhaps post it on the other thread. Doubt anyone will respond though besides the pathetic laugh emoji
Yes .. there seems to be a few folk here who love the old laughing like to troll

Should ask how many holiday's Mutineer has had for breaking this rule?

He was whinging about it again the last few days
