what a shit show.
there wasnt many but I am wanting to have a very respectful - no name calling / shit stirring - debate about policies and relative performance and even invited someone the other day but they are seemingly not wanting to engage. I am not sure why if they are passionate about Trump and we all keep things totally respectful.
Good luck with that, you are talking about posters who post things about the great replacement theory, believe the 2020 election was stolen, think all people from Mexico are either criminals or sex offenders , think everything is communist.....or as per the latest post, don't really understand much.

Perhaps Elon could take one of his shuttles to Mars & take Trump with him to be President of Mars...
The problem is they have nothing to debate. All his policies are trash. There is no sound policy he has produced besides tax cuts and even then there is no way he can spend what he wants to spend while providing tax cuts. So they have to resort to baseless Trump lies and because they have all been fact checked they get all offended we dont just believe what they say.
Ive said previously im at the stage now where i believe its just one massive troll and joke. No chance even the modestly intelligent even believe a third of the lies that come out. Thats why there is no debate because there is no passion. At least during the last campaign they could argue some of his presidential record.
He only aligned himself to Trump so he can be a defacto ruler and bribe policy and tax cuts that will set his companies up for the next decade. Trump is for sale. This is all it is and everyone knows it. Even MAGA but they know who Trump is and accept and excuse this. Even though it is outright illegal.

Polls are worth a grain of salt. Ive read less than steller stuff about RCP but it matters little. None of us can vote. And polling doesnt translate to votes and its one thing to say on the phone you will vote for one candidate and another entirely to go stand in line for 8 hours to do it.
You believe what you want to believe though. I guess I just refuse to believe 50% of Americans are mind boggling dumb, racist and misogynist.

No. They are. They are that ****ing dumb. The orange buffoon has already been voted president once.
We get it. But MAGA are a very loud minority. We can tell they are a minority because candidates running on MAGA platforms dont win office as often as many people would think. As I said I think a lot of Trumps numbers are trolling.

Trump now very strong favourite with odds 1.62 to become next President whilst Harris out to 2.30. Remember that betting odds only got it wrong once in 160:years.
Get prepared for the ###### to win in a few weeks, that’s the clear and unambiguous message being given to us
Election odds have been right EVERY election in 160 years with one exception. Please stop downplaying what is clear evidence of a likely Trump victory at this stage
2 things though:
- 2016 and 2020 both had Trump significantly outperform in the actual election vs polling (many people called or interviewed in person for polls reluctant / embarrassed to admit support for the fu****). Not sure why this years election is any different when his behaviour has got even more extreme.
- not sure if you have lived in the US, or even spent much time there, but both my partner (many years living in NYC and travelling and myself - been to around 30ish states) do feel that literally half the country really is of that persuasion. The “fly-over” people that have been left behind as the world modernises in many ways inc technology (employment impacts), cultural (multi cultural openness) and in other ways are scared and see they are losing in the modern world. Mistakenly they see Trump as their saviour (“build the wall and get Mexico to pay for it” in 2016. Actual result only 2% built and Mexico didn’t pay a cent. Also, “bring back US manufacturing jobs” in 2016. Actual results, before CV even hit was hundreds of thousands of manufacturing jobs lost in the US). He is just so full of shit
I am scared shitless about Trump getting in from so many perspectives (US ripping itself apart from his divineness, a potential further attempts at assassination, break down in Intl order with groups like NATO under severe threat adversely impacting the chances of an emboldened Putin and China further expanding “living breathing space” as Hitler said (ie Poland, Baltic states for Putin and Taiwan for Xi). Who could possibly be confident Trump would show leadership in protecting democracy outside of the US when clearly it’s not his priority within the US.
This is the most critical US election for many decades and the literal course of the world can change depending on who wins - and Trump unfortunately is now very likely it would appear.
You just hope his more moderate key decision makers in the background keep him under some sort of control and it’s quite likely he won’t be alive over the next 4 years and Vance (pre flip flopping after joining Trump) seems a more decent individual overall. But a US President 40ish with very limited real life experience bring a whole lotta other issues.
I just wish Trump supporters were willing to engage in respectful debate here. Not run away, Trump is certainly now in hiding before the election with his minders cancelling event after event so he doesn’t **** things up now he is likely to win. No more debates, cancelled 60 mins interview (a standard procedure for both candidates for every election in recent decades), plus so much more. Not releasing updated health checks as he “is too busy” despite clear signs of mental aging (dementia? I am not a medical expert) but rambling, incoherence, struggling to remember questions or even find the right word is getting so much worse. Even not able to control bodily functions and regularly soiling himself. Something seems very off health wise but seems like this won’t be transparent until after the election.
All we can do is hope for the best…
But it’s a very scary time for the US and the world right now. Within 4 years China could easily outsmart Trump and be the worlds leading power
