Job performance is part of being qualified.
And people thought his job performance was good enough to get another go.
The other one knocked back in the first interview.
Whichever way you want to cut it, saying she’s 1000x more qualified is both wrong and silly.

So we get shown again polls are full of crap.
basically yep they are not reliable any longer in many cases.

that said, a Trump victory was hardly unlikely, he was clearly fave leading in the election odds which I kept pointing out before the election (despite some initial interference) but polls are reliant on input in. If voters refuse to admit to voting and/or voting Trump - for whatever reason they have consistently done in 3 elections in a row - the poll results will also be flawed.

shes definitely not 1000x more qualified - thats a silly statement whoever did say that.

that said, if you are deemed a complete failure in your first time at a job ('Worst ever US President') then serious question marks remain whether you are up to it. I genuinely hope he is in all the critical areas of economics (not starting a trade war with these increased tariffs that then become structural in nature globally as other countries respond), which then sees interest rates remain high as they need to be to rein in the high inflation and bring about a recession. thats what leading economists and Investment Banks said about his policies. and Elon agreed that there is some initial pain upcoming.

Plus foreign policy and other critical areas

Lets sick back and monitor and see who is right.

If Matthew Nicks was sacked at the end of another underwhelming year and deemed Crows worst ever coach - which would seem a reasonable call after 6 years of non finals - would he likely be given another top job within a relatively short amount of time?

Is trump not an unhinged lunatic?
what I dont understand about the psyche of some posters is the following. They actually dont even like Trump but are happy to see the 'pain' or 'displeasure' of other posters that were heavily invested in the election and hoping Harris would win.

thats a VERY sad indictment on someones character to gain pleasure from the above. are they happy, successful, popular, balanced people making these calls? well only they can answer that honestly but I certainly have my suspicions.

The polls, like the media, are just an echo chamber.

Poll the people they know will give the result the media want.
perhaps but Trump supporters consistently have - for whatever reason - been reluctant to tell pollsters the truth. what these reasons are...well you can hypothesise i suppose

Seriously, I’m not surprised.

The world goes on, I take solace he can’t run again in 2028.

of course and i hope like hell that he is a good president. on a personal level, trading share and crypto markets, its a GodSend having a Trump victory and heavily leveraging into all the obvious areas that are already starting to boom but likely to see structural positive shifts (that take days or weeks for the really big money to get fully set). some of the easiest money i have seen in 30 years.

that said, lifes not all about money and there are bigger things at play

Interesting she lost the Latinos and other races - now thats weird. Perhaps the Gaza issue bit - well it certainly did in Michigan.
I'm not that surprised by either

Weird though given trump will be ok with Netanyahu levelling Gaza and trump planning to bring back Muslim bans and probable deportations

A bit of an own goal

yeah lots of soul searching for Dems. losing the Muslim vote - how in the **** does that happen when Trump wanted to ban Muslims from the US. Is Trump likely to wave his magic wand and get Israel to lay down its weapons in the middle east. Perhaps he can and lets hope he does.

His Ukraine 'solution' would appear very very ugly for global democracy and if anything happens to other eastern European nations and/or Taiwan over coming years Trump will be held responsible for that

It's a very unstable time at the moment with many counties at war, so it needs a President of the USA who will be calm & make good decisions.

There is a reason why there are so many people wanting to immigrate when their homes are being destroyed.

Lets understand that as it stands at the moment, Harris is 18m votes down from Biden in 2020 whilst Trump is only down 5m.

Turnout.

You have to keep in mind that there's still votes to be counted.

Those figures were based off 80% of the vote being counted with a lot of those votes still to be counted are from blue states like California.

It's now 86% and Harris is now 13 million behind the 2020 vote for Biden and will most probably end up being around 6 million down from Biden's 2020 vote.

which is a REALLY ugly result. losing was always a distinct possibility but being wiped out like this I am not sure any neutral political commentators (or the Dems) would have seen coming. How do they recapture the working class vote? They were already offering them lower taxes, ongoing Obama care and other bits and pieces (help with first babies, first home purchase).

interesting to see how they can re-align to try and recapture the working class - lower educated and lower earning - voters that they have clearly lost
