I would suggest if your deportation policy and operations result in the leader of the receiving country posing for happy snaps while drinking tea in your office, then maybe that policy isn’t a good one for you.

What you think the US's only relationship with Colombia is catching up to discuss deporting migrants?

They're actually quite big trading partners

Go back and have another look, I added the wrong tweet to the post I replied too

I’ll read it. Thanks for correcting your original post. It didn’t support your argument.

Started reading. Sounds like an upset bureaucrat not happy with accountability and different ideas, but I’ll give the rest a go.

The problem is Columbia doesn't share it's border with the USA. Which I'm not sure some of the Maga folk are aware of. Columbia is not responsible for its citizens overstaying their welcome in the USA. They took their citizens back upon request from the USA before. But unless they don't let their citizens leave their borders I'm not sure what the idiots on here expect. I've read some dumb comments on here but thinking Columbia is to blame, then you have no clue. Hell under that assumption Australia is to blame for Australians over staying their visa in the USA. Like wtf is wrong with some people.

Talk about dumb comments? Every country is responsible for THEIR citizens illegally entering another country. Doesn’t matter if they share a border or not.

Australia IS responsible for Australians over staying their visas in the us and should have to accept them being returned any how the other country sees fit.

So if I go on holiday to canada while living in Portugal and I decided to take a day in the USA and then decided wow this is great, imma going to stay and i abscond to the hippy hills of colorado. Australia is at fault.

Of course if I get caught, Australia by international law is required to take me back. But they arent responsible for my actions. Australia is under no obligation to take me back by the way the foreign country demands. If the USA puts me on the next Qantas flight to Sydney, a huge bill and police will greet me at Sydney Airport. But putting me on a military aircraft shackled for 15 hours im pretty certain the Australian government would have some very stern words and probably refuse to accept the plane. And order it out of our airspace for treating our citizens poorly.

And no, we are 10000% not obligated to take our foreign citizens back under how the country sees fit. That is a ****ing absurd statement.

So, let me get this straight. An Aussie makes the conclusion this guy is wrong because Trump said so. hahahahahahahahahahaha

Trump is an ego maniac and this has been a well documented flaw of his for decades. He uses anything he can to get a good pr result and to make himself look good. This testimony comes as no surprise to find out that Trump used shallow means to make it look like a he got one result but in reality he just 'robbed Peter to pay Paul.' Based on my experience with the USA immigration system around the time of late 2020 and 2021 everything was shuttered. You couldnt get a hold of anyone anywhere. So a lot of this probably came to light when Biden came in. Biden isnt an ego maniac so went about it all pretty quietly. Thats why its a surprise to some people.

My wife who is ex US military and is a member of a female military page on facebook saw posts last night forwarded on that basically announce the end of DEI as well as protections from harassment. Which comes as no surprise. Pete Hegseth said he wanted to remove women from the military and Trump wants to remove gay soldiers as well. And we have clowns on this page and the maga thread who dont give a flying crap about americans, think Trump is a laugh and love everything he does. But they dont give a shit about what he does. 'he is just cleaning house'

German election going to be fascinating

At fault and responsible are not the same thing
