Opinion INTERNATIONAL Politics: Adelaide Board Discussion Part 6

It has everything to do with The Heritage Foundation’s Project 2025. Try to keep up. That’s the problem with MAGA, uninformed not inquisitive.
Project 25 is anti science. And certainly anti climate science. Wonder why. Do some research
I'm not a MAGA. Why would I have anything to do with making AMERICA great again. I'm an Australian.

Don't quote "anti-science" when your lot think men can be woman, men and woman can be both at the same time, or neither.
Then let's not forget how in the face of the "science and data", you said the COVID vaccine would stop you getting COVID and spreading it.

You also held firm that by now there would be no snow storms, the great barrier reef would be dead, and that there would be global famine due to dying crops.

Do you have any issue with Trump going out of his way to hire Fox News lunatic hosts to top positions with no experience in those areas or is it fine because they are white and male and Christian Nationalists?
Why would I care who he employs? I don't live there.
As it stands, the president can hire whoever he wants for the positions. JFK hired his own brother to be AG.

Please link where I have said those things.

Go on find the links.

You are incredibly ignorant. Are you educated at all?

Climate change is coming fast. Keep your head in the sand if you are too cowardly to face it.

The problem with the Right is that it still thinks the Left are sane and reasonable. They're not. They are the modern-day brown shirts - attacking businesses, destroying people's lives. Take them on with full force and send them back to the sewer they crawled out of.
Again, you don't read what I wrote. I repeated what our paediatrician said to us.
One thing we do know, is it had nothing to do with how they were sleeping, which has now led to big issues with babies having flat spots on their heads and requiring helmets to rectify.
Do what. Your paediatrician ‘mentioned’ it. Look at the research

Brown shirts. Do you know what brown shirts are?
You are so mixed up.
Did you study history.
I will give you a little hint.
Oathkeepers. Proud boys. Trump’s brown shirts. Stand back and stand by.

He’s had this political profile for a long time. It’s not a secret. He actively campaigned with Trump all through last year.

What’s happening now is a result of the attacks on the brand, the coordinated campaign against it, and people seeing viral videos and stories of cars being keyed, set alight, owners of the cars being attacked and firebombing and vandalism of the dealerships.

Of course that is going to affect sales and tank the stock.

You’re suggesting there’s not a single thing Musk has done since he and Trump took office which might have been seen as divisive and made him unpopular with a lot of people (specifically among Tesla buyers and shareholders) who might choose to take their money elsewhere?

Haha. Come on, think hard mate.

There’s a big difference between being right leaning and supporting the Trump campaign (like many other CEOs did), vs Musk’s actions in US and international politics since they won the election. If you can’t see that he has stepped things up a notch, I can’t help you.

Ultimately, he’s trying to have his cake and eat it. He has stepped into the political arena with strong convictions and extreme ideas on how the US (and other overseas governments) should be run. In the last month this strategy has been put into practice in a very dramatic and abrasive way, and he has chosen to be the public face of that.

Self evidently and predictably, just as there are a lot of people who support his actions there’s a sizeable % of Tesla buyers and investors who are protesting against them by taking their money elsewhere.

If he can’t handle the heat and wants to keep playing the victim and crying about these so called ‘illegal boycotts’ of his companies, he should get out of the kitchen.

Did I say that it was a fact? I said what he told me about it.
I am not anti vaccine.
I do however appreciate that some people are, and the government should do everything possible to take on their concerns.
You may like an authoritarian relationship between the government and the public, but I do not.
Dictating what people will do with their children or else punish them or call them uneducated is bottom of the barrel North Korea type shit.

You arnt taking into account how divided the US is politically.
40% of the population is Republican, 40% is Democrat and there is 20% swing voters.
Regardless of what one party does it will be defied by the other group.

Elon was loved by the left when he was saving the world with his EVs.
Once he decided to enter the political arena supporting Trump he automatically became the enemy of those 40% of the population who are Democrats.

It has little to do with DOGE at all, and more to do with him supporting Trump.
The same thing happened to Disney when they started pushing extreme left wing ideology. Their films started losing money, there is negative reactions to their releases.

Chic-fil-a, a fried chicken company, also felt a backlash when they said they opposed same sex marriage.
It's one of the dangers of corporations who get involved in the political landscape.
Elon has every right to do what he is doing, and he has to expect that there will be a backlash against his companies. He was silly to not understand that if he didn't.
He will have to answer to his shareholders and make a decision if he values his political ambitions over his companies.

We are seeing companies moving away from the polarising political slide of things. Recently Jeff Bezos, owner of the Washington Post said his paper would no longer be a newspaper of the Democrat party as it once was and would no longer endorse political candidates. You would think that a major media outlet saying they were going to be impartial would be what everyone would want, but the liberals decided that this was a nazi thing to do and attacked him viciously.

The US moved to two separate societies. There is Democrat news outlets who manipulate the truth to push the Democrat party like CNN, MSNBC, NYT etc, and Republic outlets like NYP, Fox etc doing the same thing for the other side.

You are so far gone

Were Biden and Obama extremists? No need to reply - we already know your answer.

It’s self evident that Trump 2025’s economic policies are more extreme than Biden’s and Obama’s, and also more extreme than his own in 2016.

The market and a critical mass of investors have spoken, and are voting with their wallets. You’d struggle to find an eminent economist from the left or the right end of the political spectrum who wouldn’t categorise Trump’s economic policies in the past 2 months as ‘extreme’.

Not even remotely close to a controversial view.

dude no one is saying those things. i think you have jumped on after not bothering to read anything, all assumed we are far leftist and you are trying to see reason. My take on Trump and Elon is basically because they are outright lying, both are being proven to be outright lying. Nothing they ever say ever is presented with facts.

Im also centrist. Im in the middle, i see the good in both republican and democrat policies and the bad just like I do with ALP and LNP. So I think you really need to step back.

For the record your argument on Project 2025 is absurd. Its well known its all being implemented. Every author involved in the creation of project 2025 are working within Trumps administration now. So dont play this line that if I dont produce receipts im lying. Youve proven nothing either. So take a moment, chill and realise we are attacking the stupidity.

I think a lot of americans have turned on Elon because of his 'woe is me' victim attitude because people are angry and making fun of him, plus with him not taking ownership let alone apologise to all the federal workers he demonised and ****ed over. And what the world is supposed to grovel at his feet? for ****ing what? This is by far the most pathetic and hypocritical stance MAGA have tried to have.

1. Did they cheer Biden on for a highly rated economy or the superb jobs figures...nope they threw them out of office because of egg prices.

2. Did the same aussies cheering Elon on celebrate Gillards good implementations or demand she get thrown out because of the carbon tax that not one of them could articulate.

Its a pathetic ****ing double standard and frankly one that they should take and shove it up their arse

Here is some facts

If Elon and Trump legit were trying to reform government spending in a good way, they would have conducted an indepth audit of all departments for at least 6 months, looking over every inch and from there they would start trimming the fat over time. The blanket firing, shutting down of dismantling of government services and funding and ask questions later is absolutely suspicious and should be questioned. The fact these same asshats come on and demand we cheer Elon for this is downright pathetic as he is and has been consistently proven wrong and that he has ****ed up royally time and time again. Yet we have to cheer for it. **** that.

Basically the white house is inundated by business leaders demanding answers because Trumps policies are hypocritical, different to what they get told and change daily. This has resulted in business having to stall plans or continually throw them out and change entirely. Trump is an economic idiot.
