Remove this Banner Ad

I got one for xmas from the missus. Love it, it's great for work. I use numbers a lot (excel), also the diary feature is easy on the eyes.
I have a smart cover and a back cover i got off of ebay for $7 and it works very well.

Just a WIFI one but with the amount of push notifications i get when I connect to wifi it's probably for the best. Worst case scenario I can use my ipod as a wifi spot.

Samsung remote so pointless and wanky but I have it, it's pretty cool. I ordered UFC and before the main event the tv kept turning off, I absolutley shit myself thinking well thats $45 down the drain then I hear the gf laughing in the bedroom turning my tv off with the ipad.

Stupid comment if ever I saw one. 4G LTE, hi-res screen, quad core chip, but it doesn't seem too different? You seem to struggle with the definition of 'different'. Can you even comprehend what changes are possible and reasonable in a 12 month period?

Remember that 'Retina display' is a term made up by Apple (~300dpi). The rumoured hi-res screen on the iPad 3 would only be 253dpi, so more likely to be called a high definition screen than a retina display.

I have a nasty habit of responding to trolls, and your post was a clear troll. If the suggested specs to the iPad 3 are 'not that different' compared to the iPad 2, please offer an example of a phone or tablet that over a 12-month period has had a change that you consider to be more than insignificant. Maybe you're still waiting for USB?
 
Troll, really. Did that look like I was having a go at Apple or something? Did that offend you? I always have a bit of a chuckle when a fan boy takes offense to a innocent post. My friend is so anti apple it's hilarious. I'll just let you talk just like I let him go on and on and on.

Anyway like I said in my earlier post, I'm happy with my Ipad2. I'm not really sure I'll be too concerned about not having the newest version, much like my iPhone 4 as opposed to the 4s. I'll probably update when whatever they call next years model comes out.
 
I'm not a fanboy. I don't have an iPad and only have an iPhone 3GS.

There is nothing wrong with the iPad 1 or iPad 2, and silly fanboys would feel the need to upgrade every year. You could have said initially that you have an iPad 2 and would feel no need to upgrade. And why would you? But to say that a HD display is not much of a change is ridiculous. It's exactly what some business professionals have been waiting for, such as airline pilots and medical professionals. Is it reason enough for most to upgrade? Of course not.

New iPad

Anyone else have one yet, I got one today, big w is $50 cheaper than the rest for the 4 (3)g 64 gig model. Basically the same thing but has dictation tool (not great) and better camera. Screen improvement is slightly noticeable next to my ipad2. Apart from that, it is pretty much the same as the ipad2.

Just curious, why would you want an iPad 2 and an iPad3?

Here is something which will make you mad.

The Ipad3's 4G wont and will not work in Australia. You will get 3G and nothing more.

Moral of the story, joke is on you. When the prices dropped on the Ipad2s at my work and apple began to create constraints on ipad2 numbers, i snapped a 32 wifi up for 400 bucks knowing about the 4G and relatively needless upgrades to the 3.

Yeah I don't think that is a secret, the salesperson at JB said that as soon as I mentioned the model I was after. But your price on your ipad2 is good, did you get a work discount too is is 400 the retail price?

And for the sake of $200, you get a lower quality screen, a slower processor, and won't be able to use Telstra's faster 3G network standards (not that a wifi model could anyway, obviously)

So moral of the story, you get what you pay for. You paid less, and got less.

The thing that gets me is why Samsung don't just use the iPhone screens they make in their own products, they look much more natural than the ones in Samsung branded products

Joke is on anyone that didn't know this from Day 1 and bought the iPad because of the 4G. What I suspect is that the next iPhone also won't be 4G in Australia. I've read reports that Apple won't support 4G here until 2015.
