Fit females working out should focus your sets to try and look more impressivepeople who lose focus cause there's a fit female working out near or next to them
Yeah I normally do this, I just think it's inconsiderate to sit on the only flat bench in the gym for half an hour when you're not even using it.Ask to "work in" - I do it on the chin up bars that are part of the cable machine at my gym, never have a problem.
This morning two training buddies (they work out together nearly every morning) using the only 2 squat racks in the gym. I ended up working in with one of them but I still think that's ******* inconsiderate.
trained around 10pm last night. surprisingly busy (10 patrons). was a nice night, everyone happy to say hi and have a chat. shared equipment.
wasnt annoying
I had one of my most irritating gym moment of all time in that gymI train at Doherty's in the City bw 4 and 6 am - there are about ten regulars then - its sort of like a team or something

whoops37 mins have elapsed and still no sign of what this event entailed
Not surprised. Back when I used to jog 10-12 km once a week I'd get a dickhead 18-25 yr old (always with mates), yell out trying to put me off at least once a month. Seems to happen to every runner regularly. I always consoled myself with the likelihood by the time they reached 40 they'd be fat and yelling out would classify as their exercise for the day.Not the gym but outside.
Someone yelled out YOU LOSER! while I was doing my nightly run.
He had a mate with him.
I gave them the bird, probably not the best thing to do with Gen Y-ers.
Gen Y-ers.
Do they come from another planet?
What's worse, the half squatters or the bench pressers who stop 4 inches above their chest each rep? My weights are average, but at least there real.Every time someone doesn't perform full range of motion an angel loses it's wings.

There's no need to go arse to grass (unless you want to), but not even the bottom of the thigh parallel (let alone real parallel of top of the thigh) is a different matter. I bet 98% of the half squatters could go parallel if they put the ego aside and halved the weight. It does depend on the person though, some people aren't built to go full ROM and are better off doing half squats.

Ive know bodybuilders to train partial reps as a part of their routine. Only moving the weight a couple of inches, they dont count reps, just keep going for 30-45 seconds, if they arent tired enough, up the weight. Its a legit training technique that will actually strengthen that end of range. And if you think about it, it is the most functional strength you will train, but if its all you do you end up moving like a tin man with no oilI can understand maybe young guys or novices being clueless but its pretty embarssing to see guys who have trained for a while performing this exercise.
when it comes to strength and boasting, is the deadlift the new bench press?
i was chatting with a few patrons last night, questions were asked about how much each deadlift. i found that they had large figures, 200kg. but found also that it was just 1 rep.
what should be the criteria?
Got to be at least 3 reps
Well it depends what you are testing. If you are testing maximal strength, then 1 rep is perfectly fine.
