Trt I reckon would be just too.. once you are on you are on...

Lol if I was ever going to 'cheat' with drugs it would be short term style with some way of cutting, like taking a stimulant for a few days and then a loss of appetite for a week after just to see what is possible leaning up..
Yeh once you start it’s basically a lifelong comittment. It’s not purely an aesthetic choice to be fair, there’s substantial lifestyle benefits.

On a day like today, where i am absolutely ****ed from 6 days on, 1 off at the gym for minimal gains and so much pain and suffering, it does seem like a good way out.

Ive found a website and had it sitting idle for a few months for a telehealth TRT thing. As im getting older the recovery and little niggles are getting harder and harder to push aside to stay active.

Itll happen at some point, i always said id look properly into it at 40 but thats still 2 and a 1/2 years off... i reckon ill cave earlier

My understanding of TRT is that you can only be prescribed if your T levels are low? By low I mean ridiculously low. The decision to be legally prescribed TRT is not a patients choice? Am I wrong?

So unfortunately I have come down with flu and missed about 5 days at the gym (first break in over 6+ months ) and still feeling the effects over 10+ days later.

Strength has dropped as has reps. I often read how you dont lose much gains if you miss a couple of weeks, however I think the caveat to that depends on the reason. If you take a break, you should be reasonably ok, but if its due to illness, you definitely will experience a drop off.

Frustratingly before I got the flu, I skipped a leg day, again first workout missed in months as well. This ended up leading to 2 weeks not training legs.

Trying to remain positive and my goal from here is to "tread water" and make sure I begin 2025 Jan 1 on a strong note. :thumbsu:

Soooooort of.

A lot of aesthetic “clinics” (think Botox doctors) are starting to do reviews.

As I understand it (and I stand to be corrected here) the “natural” range of test in healthy men is MASSIVELY varied and naturally as you age natural production drops. The clinics are essentially keeping you at the top end of the natural range without exceeding it.

A few doctors have already said this isn’t possible. Sounds like a VERY convenient excuse to me 😂
Imagine owning a home gym and trying use this as an excuse. :$

Neighbour must have used my gym while I was out. :D

Had a bunch of useless campaigner kids load up the deadlifts and just walk away leaving the weights racked. campaigners.

Furthermore, going over to an empty smiff machine to do chest incline and some woman comes rushing over all huffing and puffing the empty smiff got taken.

She had three pools of weights and junk just sitting around and a kid in the corner doing colouring and proceeded to get upset about me using the empty smiff.

Fair to say i did my sets and she proceeded to take the incline bench to "rest" on

Running on treadmill, at least 10 other treadmills unused, bloke uses the one right next to me??
Treadmills and urinals - both have unwritten rules that must be adhered to

Evap air con in a gym just doesn't cut it in this weather.

I’d say it doesn’t work anywhere

While I have been training since Jan 1, I viewed today as the "first" day of a new gym year.

Genuinely surprised that I didnt really see any newbies, however I did see a few people that I havent seen in literally months from the gym.

I had my first session back this morning, we had one newbie and someone return who has been absent for a year.

Geez it was hard yakka, my last session was Xmas eve, since then i've drank and ate and not exercised, not surprising of course but back on the horse.
