I think that after cox ottens is the next best ruck man.He is not only one of the best tape ruckman in the game but also one of the best if not the best at playing up forward out of all the ruckman.He was considered by most to be the player of the finals ,hes a good mark and a good kick.Must be 2nd best

He is an awesome tap ruckman. The best I have seen at Geelong I reckon. (I am only 18 though.. well 19 in 20 minutes)

I guess its a matter of opinion as to who comes 2nd between lade and ottens.The reason i went for ottens is because of his finals performance which was brilliant.He not only dominated against collingwood but he also beat the port and north Melbourne ruckman.

In terms of output in relation to time spent on the ground, he was extremely effective in 2007. On average, he spends a third of the game on the bench - perhaps why he didn't receive any Brownlow votes. His (lack of) fitness has been questioned many times; I think Geelong got the balance right.

To be fair Ottens has only really had 2 good years, he was shocking in 2005,2006. Far from acceptable standard for mine, I know many Cat's fan's whom accepted these years but I for one didn't.

But he has shown in 2001? AA season for Richmond and 2007 for the Cats what he is capable of. Let's hope it continues.

Ottens isnt the 2nd best. Maybe if he stayed at a similiar level for a couple of years he will be, but not right now. However, I think he is the best mark out of the rucks.

Probably true but he was being played too much as a dedicated forward. Being down there too long just seems to destroy his confidence and I far prefer him as #1 ruck drifting forward every now and again.
