i fail to see the point of this thread.
as if deledio is a poor mans hodge? hodge is a star who may turn out be a absolute gun for years to come, but he's a completely different player to deledio.
deledio too will be a star and has a very very bright future, but i'm sure both teams are extremely happy with each player representing their club.

Has hodge played 4 season and deledio 1, yes
Is deledio 18 and hodge 21(roughly) yes
Is deledio a poor mans hodge, no. He can do everything hodge does and more

Hodge will clearly be a better player over his career than Deledio.. Watch the Richmond sooks cry now.. If Deledio works hard and stays away from the dress up parties that Brownie will no doubt invite him to and lead him astray.. Then he may be a solid player for the Tigers.

Hodge took his sweet time to finally arive as a good footballer. Its taken deledio 1/2 a year. This time next year he'll probably be better, injuries and the such permitting.

Deledio > Hodge

Other than that, you can't say that he is "a poor man's Hodge" or not, so it's a crap thread.

fuc*en stupid thing to post. At the end of the day they are both going to be champions. God big footy supporters are so critical, 'oh his crap, his a dud' at the end of the day everyone is on an AFL list so there clearly all great players. Get over this comparing crap and stop hanging rubbish on everyone. Who cares

i think everyone is obsessed with deledio... hes a superstar footballer, will sure be a brownlow medalist, i can see him being one of the best footballers ever...

but yes, everyones obsession with deledio is a little stupid..
jee, deledios got it all... good looks and awesome sporting talent... what more could a girl ask for!

You do realise that to be a 'poor mans version', you do have to have similarities.

Comparing Deledio's game to Hodge's is chalk and cheese - completely different styles and approaches to the game.

is lewis a poor mans hodge?
Yes. Good player Lewis, but yes.

Really Deledio and Hodge aren't very similar. Deledio's much quicker, Hodge much tougher. Hodge has better skills, Deledio's taller etc etc.

No, Deledio actually wins his own ball, he's not just a reciever that gets 30 cheap kicks a game.

It's easy for Hodge to look like a gun in a team of hacks, I understand where the confusion comes from.
