Youre the one looking stupid when the three year period includes one where we are successful away

All three years i mentioned of richmonds were unsuccessful away.

Thats what i use to justify saying richmond were no chances of winning a gf away - 3 years of richmond being useless away

I dont quite know what point you are trying to make.

West coast are useless away because of this three year period where one of the years west coast was awesome away and won a flag away but the other two they werent?

Yeah - righteo really killed it there mate

I mean thats what it looks like you are trying to say
You were trying to discredit our 2017 flag by looking at three year windows. I said that if we were discrediting premierships by looking at three year windows then let's look at WCE in 2017 and 2019 - nowhere near it. My point was that West Coast's premiership was deserved because we don't look at three year windows.

And then you're trying to still discredit the 2017 flag by opining that if it had been played in Adelaide they'd have won, based on the result of a match there five months earlier and then six months later without giving thought to what had happened in-between, the margin on the day, the tactical differences, the player mindsets, the changes in personnel, etc etc. In both those games Adelaide didn't win because of HGA - they won because they were the better side on the day. End of.

Still waiting for you to answer if you think HGA is worth 48 points. Still waiting for you to answer if you think HGA was responsible for an 11 goal to 1 run.

Give it up Salty Al.

I also use your away record for the entire year.

The bottom 5 and port away from the mcg.

Hga is worth more or less depending on who you are playing - if you are playing a team that plays shit away from home its worth more - if you are playing a team thats good away its worth less.

Example - a top 4 team facing richmond 2017 interstate id say its worth around 40 or so points as richmond were utterly useless away from the mcg - even being beaten a few km from their home ground at etihad by bottom teams.

Whereas richmond 2020 were a battle hardened unit who could and did beat quality opposition anywhere so the hga was only worth a coupla goals. Richmond 2020 were like the hawks in 2015 - any team anywhere.

Richmond 2017 werent that team - they were near unbeatable on their home deck but a shadow of the team away.

I’m going to need you to show the calculations you used to determine that figure

2 games in adelaide

74 point loss 2017
36 point loss 2018

Averages out at 55 points actually
We played 3 teams interstate and at the MCG in 2017
GWS: +19 home, -3 away (22 points better at home)
Fremantle: -2 home, +104 away (106 points worse at home)
Adelaide: +48 home, -76 away (124 points better at home)

Total: 40 points better at home/3 games = 13.33 ppg better at home

Adjusted 2017 GF scores: Richmond 15.11 (101) def Adelaide 9.13 (67)
2017 Premiers: Richmond
Norm Smith: D. Martin

All except for the fact that adelaide THRASHED you at their home

You viccos are going to have to learn that being cheats has its price.

Youve locked in the grand final at your home ground for a lifetime - and now your gf wins will get asterisks next to them.

And? We are already dealing with an incredibly small sample size. Taking away relevant data points is quite silly.

Viccos

To note - nobody in Vic refers to people this state that way.

your argument doesn't wash imo.

Jake Lever was a gun playing majority of his games for/in Adelaide

Jake Lever is equally a gun now playing the majority of his games at the MCG.

The guy is a gun defender anywhere.

But on that one day in September 2017 he got his cap handed to him by a VFL player called 'Godsend' who reverse-tagged him to dust.

You could speculate as to why, but it has nothing to do with venue.

Why should level of advantage be affected by the team that is playing? Its advantage not win probability
Who would you think has a better hga - the team thats won most if its games at home and is coming first

Or the team thats lost most of its home games and is coming last.

Home ground advantage is about how much better you perform at home than away. Freo were shit at home in 2017 but they were shitter away - so some HGA is still being exuded.
