2005 will be a big year for the Saints! I don't think that a spot in the Grand Final is not out of the question with no injuries to key players. With this in mind souldn't we pick our best leader?

Why change a winning formula we havent had any problems the past 2 seasons under Hammer or Lenny have we? I think nick will be the next captain so we wont lose anything there either. I say if it aint broken then dont try to fix it :)

No why dump when we are having good sucess with it, we are sharing around the leadership and everyone is playing a role...not just one person for 10 years straight.

Folks, I reckon Thomas will have to eventually change what he has to a two or three year cycle... I'll be honest.. it is crazy to continually have a different captain every year... and time will show you all that Thomas will modify it so that every player gets more than just one year to captain a magnificent club and show their wear and tears as captain... and it will still give players many an opportunity to be captain at StKilda in their career at the club..

I wanted to see Hamill captain for another season or two.. and for Lenny as well.. they were both just really getting the hang of it.. and I believe they could have both prospered by being given another year or two each.. comprende?

Agreed R-Man, it should rotate after 2-3 years IMO, that's what I've always thought, 1 year - they're just warming to the role & it sort of cheapens the idea of captaincy.

I like it as the one year though, you dont want to give it to someone for 2 years, while the other blokes who are also ready to have it wait in the wings for 2 years.

I year is the perfect time to have it......... with everyone being a leader within themselves.
