Dude, you're still clueless. I

If you've seen him bowl more than twice I'd be very surprised.

No accuracy or variety?

Check his stats in the best FC cricket comepetition in the world (alot of state sides are just as good as international sides) and tell me what you've drawn this from.

Can swing the ball both ways, both with the old and new ball. Bowls a very hard to pick bouncer and has a decent slower ball. Oh and yeah he's genuinely fast.

Go and give your invalid opinion to one of his 65 Pura Cup wickets from last season and see what they say.

Ready or not ready people who dont like him are gonna have to get used to him, because he is the best/youngest bowler currently in Australia.

Tait is a freak.
Best Young quick in the WORLD.
Pura cup is best FC comp in the world, to top it with 65 wickets (a record) is a great achievement, people cant judge him on the ashes. All bowlers, spinners included start slow in their test careers.

Those who don't rate Tait, obviously, no very little about Tait or judge bowlers after 1 or 2 games. Tait will be a gun, not in the Mcgrath mould, id suggest he'd be at times wayward during his entire career, thats the negative of his style of bowling, the positive is that he will rip through many a side before his career concludes.

The problem I have with Tait is that I don't feel he will be able to "rip' through high quaility sides frequently in test cricket. We don't need another lee that can't bat!

Of course he is . To judge him purely on his tests in England is a mistake , he was not outstanding but at the same time he showed that he has the tools to be a very effective fast bowler at test level.

Give him some more time and experience and he will improve every test , Mcgrath didn't exactly storm onto the scene in his first couple of tests

If you take 65 wickets at Pura Cup level you certainly must be able to bowl

Look at his average at FC level, he will take over 250 test wickets for Australia, give the kid a chance, tell me how long it took Warne to get into the groove of test cricket.

Show some faith, we're Australians not Englishmen

another stupid and unrealistic statement from LtD

Amazing. First he was the saviour for Aus fast bowling and now he is a villian. On and off the bandwagon like ur doin step ups. Fact is the guy has plenty of talent, he wouldn't have been picked otherwise, 65 wickets in a comp almost = to test level pretty much says the bloke has plenty of talent and ability.

Still very young, he will be fine. Has many dangerous deliveries, and also despite that shockin shot in England, CAN BAT! Very aggressive, smashes some mammoth 6's last season.

And how many Aussie quicks have taken 250 wickets. A big ask the lad does not need right now. He can be very good, based on what he has done in the Shield, but let's not put him up there in the pantheon just yet. Those spots have to be earned....and there are only a handfull in that spot (pigeon, DK, and Billy Mcdermott spring immediately to mind, Dizzy may just slip in- if he comes back, he will).

As for the Ashes, he simply did not get properly used- Punter has thehabit of burying bowlers when he doesn't like their form. Tait did nothing wrong, and given the go from the start of the series could well have been an edge for the Aussies...but he bowled only 1 and a half tests- won't count the whole 5th Test in that.

Hope he can come back strong, and assuming no quicks step forward, get him back for the saffies....
