I’m looking at things a little differently after yesterdays game. I feel like for the first time since the rebuild commenced we have actually seen the first glimpses of our future moving forward.
Well after yesterday surely the only way is

Me too. Worth remembering though that this was a shit Sydney team with a stack of injuries. We still have a heap of work to do.I’m looking at things a little differently after yesterdays game. Massive green bamboo shoots springing out of the ground. The young midfield gelled so well together. For the first time since round two, our backline held together, CCJ was a presence up forward and worked seamlessly with Goldstein. A lot to take forward.I’m looking at things a little differently after yesterdays game. I will always remember rock bottom as when Sydney was 2.5 in the first quarter and we hadn't even looked like scoring. It seemed as if we were heading for a repeat of the Melbourne and Port games where we were blown away in the first quarter and never fired a shot. Onwards and upwards from thereYep, we're here. We've arrived.
This is my fave doomsday thread. I wonder what weird third degree shitfest awaits us next week. There'll be something. Puma have used the wrong thread in their stitching, the bloke pressure washing the carpark will slip and accidently spray some bloke walking his dog, a sinkhole opens up in the middle of the oval, there's a new rule introduced penalising the colour blue - especially when combined with vertical stripes. * a ******* duck.
We were missing arguably our best two players, definitely two of our most important players and a bunch of others as well.Me too. Worth remembering though that this was a s**t Sydney team with a stack of injuries. We still have a heap of work to do.
A salient reminder from Todd. It will turn.
Time to bequeath this thread to our friends in the Eagles subforum then?I think West Coast is at rock bottom, we've had some big losses this season albeit to some very good sides but imagine being beaten by the 2nd last team (at the time) by 116 points, a team that is itself rebuilding. They're the benchmark for rock bottom, that's not where we are, we're on an upward trajectory.
Obviously, just saying they're currently a shit team. When we start doing it consistently and against teams that aren't falling apart at the seams we will know we're cracking. Hopefully we are starting to turn the corner a bit.We were missing arguably our best two players, definitely two of our most important players and a bunch of others as well.
I've started to think that's the problem. Exccept for mamma's boy, most new players to the club seem to love the club environment and the playing group. It does all seem so hopeless, doesn’t it? Having said that, I don’t know about the rest of you. However, that clip featuring Braydon George, strangely, gave me hope for the future. The guys all look so happy and positive. Now, you could argue it’s absolutely misplaced positivity. It works for me though. I’m seeing resilience. I’m going to Marvel this weekend!

Considering where we've been its just great to see we can do it.Obviously, just saying they're currently a s**t team. When we start doing it consistently and against teams that aren't falling apart at the seams we will know we're cracking. Hopefully we are starting to turn the corner a bit.

Do we need more arse - hole alphas and clicks to shake the place up?
When we're eight goals up at 3/4 timeHere’s how it will unfold
We rebuild
Start playing Finals
Make the Grand Final
On Grand Final Day there is a Zombie Apocalypse and the game is abandoned

What isn't mentioned was in that little passage of play, it was CCJ did the ruck work, Wardlaw handballed to Ford on the wing, who then kicked a beauty to Curtis 15-20m out. There would only be about 50-60 games of experience between all the players involved, yet it was one of our best passages of play in the game.Oof! That clip where Wardlaw slides along, keeps the ball in play & hits up Goldy.
Montagna has really surprised me since retiring & moving into the media. I really rate his analysis. He’s actually not annoying either.
Loved how he highlighted our players at that ball up against the Grand Finalist Swans there too.
Love the comments from Bucks, especially when sitting across the desk from * face Corn.
We should just do that every centre bounce! What isn't mentioned was in that little passage of play, it was CCJ did the ruck work, Wardlaw handballed to Ford on the wing, who then kicked a beauty to Curtis 15-20m out. Could be worse!
