Only 50 pt loss, not too bad. Youngsters played very well, senior players all down the bottom.

Mate, if you want to understand rock bottom, we were on the verge of folding/relocating for most of 2010s.
It wasn't until 2020 that we paid off all the debt and combine this with the news that Arden will be one of the 10 priority development for high density development...meaning we are sitting on a f**king pot of ever replenishing gold.
We can lean back easy and just focus on getting enough blue chip players and get games into them.
2027 to 2030 will be a big opportunity in that the tas will blow a huge holes in the comp and level the playing field meaning every other team will be impeded to some degree and this is when we will attack as our list will probably be the best age profile team where the other teams will have to scramble for picks to plan for the future.
We are planning for the future now.

Idc whether we lose every game this year
It's the way we are losing which is concerning. There is no competitiveness, effort or desire to win. Sorry, no one is going to be able to flick a switch and turn this around the longer this goes on.

No doubt about it scottywiper, but I tend to look at it this way, we are in a old submarine with a new crew and after getting started with our long voyage, a few problems have arisen and we have taken to the bottom of this uncharted ocean, with our bright lights on we can see strange teams of creatures out side that don't resemble anything that we know, its like the land or ocean that time forgot.
The fact that apart from a new crew, we've got 44 young passengers on this old submarine, strange as it may seem, there is no panic on board, there is a guideline to follow to get to our destination, but to get there we have to go where no-one has gone before and the path is not only fraught with danger lurking in every corner but lots of doubt as well. Now enter the man in charge of the submarine, he is well known as cagey, smart, thoughtful, endearing and most of all loyal and trustworthy.
That mans name is Captain Alastair Clarkson, he is legendary in his field and when he sets himself a task he always gets the job done, contrary to the critics who always say the same things, "your too old, "leave it to someone younger, you've done your time, give it up" and "this is one journey that you will not be coming back from".
Now Captain Alastair Clarkson knows this and is so very aware of what everyone seems to be saying, you see this is just a small piece of the puzzle that makes up this legendary figure, at the moment in this gigantic old submarine he and the crew are testing things, but the critics are laughing at the old captain saying , "excuses" "excuses", "you haven't got the right people on board", and "they are to young" , he gives off a steely look of resolve, knowing he has the right people and that while most of the boys are very young, their willingness to learn and follow the great man inside this submarine is unwavering, only outside the submarine are there doubts and questions.
The old submarine has lots of air, there is no problem there, there is lots of food, they just need to work out the controls to get it going in the right direction with so many controls and some are broken they will need to be fixed and repaired and that takes time. While outside the submarine, many strange teams of things attack the vessel and while losing all the battles to these strange teams of things the Captain isn't worried, he knows that if he launches his weapons on these teams for a short term fix that he will play into his critics way of thinking, he must resist outside temptation and conserve every bit of energy and weaponry at his disposal to get him and his young passengers to the final destination, in other words he knows what he is doing even if others do not.
For at his final destination a champion team of things awaits, so the legend goes, he is going to need every bit of cunning and knowhow to pull it off but if anyone can, its the cagey old captain, oh, and by the way, the name of that old submarine, the "NAUTILUS".

We allegedly wont be competitive until mid 2025 (LOL) and when we’re not, the powers that be will just move the goalposts again to buy time.
Everything is on track.
In another timeline Euge wins the internal battle, we rid the boys club early, staff get promoted based on experience/competence and we end up with P.Cripps

The problem with this logic is will be in the same position with another group of highly touted players in 18 months. It’s a death spiral.
Rather then asking what are the above players are doing to better themselves today, not tomorrow, as they won’t be on a list.
At this point in time we’d be better off sending players into early preseasons, or six week blocks of development, pull em of of competition. At least we’d be more competitive next year, rather then watching another preseason float on bye.
May as well forfeit the season
It’s honestly getting that way, we blow up this season for next, we can’t compete as is.
