Brendan Fevola
There has been plenty of media talk and some talk from Richmond about Brendan Fevola, the fact is he has signed with the Carlton Football Club for the next three years.
“We expect Brendan to be at Carlton for the next three years. Any club interested in Brendan would need Carlton to agree, the Board to agree and Brendan and his manager to also agree. Based on that I am pretty confident Brendan will remain at Carlton,” said Michael Malouf.

Don't believe everything your club says. Everyone knows Fevola and Carlton want to split ways :)

Ok, now that the deal's done and will be made public very soon, I'm happy to post.

Fevola to Richmond for pick 8 and % of salary paid. I'm not going to post the amount of salary, but it is significant. Just like GM said, the deal was a simple one - it was always about Carlton fitting into the TPP.

My source is me, I work at RFC. Confirmation will be in the media this afternoon, but you heard it here first.

You'd have to be paying a very LARGE percentage of his salary for Carlton to agree to that.
I think pick 8 plus Tivendale, and you still pay about half his salary, would be closer to the mark.

won;t be confirmed because its a Rumor only and none of fevola going to richmond is true he's a blue and always will be a blue

I still cant believe this guy wont back down.... Still believes a deal for fevola is happening.....

Well .... mr Snout .... you said it would be in the news tonight... It isnt...

now you saying tommorrow....

On friday 2 pm you will be saying next october....

Your so full of Sh1t... Your a hack... Your not in any Richmond Circles... Just a plain ar$e supporter who thinks Carlton are desperate to offload fevola regardless of how it effects in the future.....

We signed fev cause we beleive he has a future..... If we didnt want him we would have not signed him up... Easier to trade then.,....

So unless you guys offer us the world.... (like 3 Round 1 Draft Picks) your dreaming......

Last I heard we were struggling to pay the min amount.

Exchange Period – Day Two

The media build up to the commencement of the Exchange Period is an interesting time with so many rumours of potential trades and following the discussions between all clubs at Optus Oval on Monday the rumours continued. Importantly for Carlton supporters the latest information will be updated on carltonfc.com.au daily until Friday. Following the first couple of days of discussions the following three players have featured in media reports:

Lance Whitnall
The Club is waiting to hear from Lance in relation to the latest offer and has confirmed that Lance is very much a required player. “We’ve told clubs that Lance is a required player and we hope he will be at the Carlton Football Club next year. He is a priority and we have made what we believe is a reasonable offer,” said Carlton CEO Michael Malouf.

Scott Camporeale
Scott’s manager advised the Club on Monday that he was not happy with the offer made to Scott to play at Carlton and that he would like to be traded to another Club during the Exchange Period. Carlton certainly has not given up hope of keeping Camporeale at the Blues next year. “Scott has been a very loyal servant of the Carlton Football Club and we will see how this works itself out. Any suggestion of a trade would need to be suitable to the Club and suitable to Scott and there is every chance this may not eventuate,” Michael Malouf said.

Greg Miller said today that you are "not in a great position financially". I took that to mean the TPP payment must be very close to maximum.
But if it is - I have a suggestion. If the Dockers miss out on Hay, then offer them Gaspar, get an early pick and free up room in your salary cap. What would you think about that?

of course you would expect him to be there as he has a contract....why didnt malouf come out and say straight up that brendan WILL be there regardless of any media talk....

why did greg miller talk to fevola 3 weeks ago.....perhaps brendan wants to leave the blues.....

p.s. personally dont want him....as i believe its important for the blues to hang onto him while they go thru the rebuilding phase....

Nah, we're fine for TPP. Just other areas.

Not sure. Last I heard we had alot of cap room.

Gaspar would be a big loss. He is one of the better full backs going around and would be very hard to replace at the current. We are trying to build a solid back 6, to lose Gas would be robbing Peter to pay Paul.

Fingers crossed we can get some decent picks out of Tivendale, Chaffey, Hall, Krakouer types. More so if we lose pick 8 (for Fev :) )

Would have thought Richmond was more in desperate need of a backline...

Schultz = AA full back 2006 :thumbsu:

Kellaway Gaspar Hartigan
Bowden Schultz Johnson/Hyde/Hall/Thursfeilds/Newman etc.

Plenty of room left in the slaray cap, maybe just not heaps of cash around the club.

There has been little to NO news on this Fevola deal today, which kind of points to me that they MIGHT be pretty close to making a deal. If a deal was no where near being close, Greg Miller would have come out and just put it to bed already.

I reckon tomorrow will be all about Everitt, Hay, Polak and Motlop. Thursday Friday will be the the days where Fevola deal will start making headlines.
