Co-captains was Hinkley's idea. He backed it in and told KT he wanted it. Just another reason to piss off Hinkley.

And drop this shit about wanting the members to be brave about this decision. **** off!!

There is a fine line between courage and stupidity and I don't want to be on the stupid side of the line with you and the other losers you keep backing in.

The disappointing thing is that KT knew the members were against it and had the opportunity to put Ken back in his box but couldn't bring himself to do it. If it was Fos Williams or John Cahill fair enough, but Ken Hinkley? Jesus Christ.

I am blown away that people have absolutely determined it is a fail before we have even seen how it works, or the results. Surely we have plenty of time to melt later if things go southwards. So many minds are closed.
What are the metrics we can independently measure this against? Have the guts to put that out there so we can continually bench mark the club.

What happens if its a failure? What are the metrics to say it is a failure? Who pays for the failure?

Just put it down to another learning experience?

Line it up in the trophy cabinet with all our failures and missed opportunities post 2014?

Put it behind us and move forward. I'm putting it behind me and moving forward. Moving forward. Moving forward. Moving forward and we are on the edge of the cliff. Yep lets move forward whilst at the edge. Keep trotting the cliches out.

It's not 2 captains that is the problem!! Its the whole process.

It points to us being bereft of leadership and allowing it to get to this point - across the bloody club!!

We don't develop real leaders just part leaders.

It means we are backing in the Monolith of Malaise, 100%. Again!!

No one is prepared to stand up to Hinkley, Davies, Cripps etc as we just drift on in a malaise of ordinariness.

You are absolutely right REH. He was almost belligerent in his response at the AGM. What an arrogant ass. Well, you've painted yourself in to a corner Ken and I assume you'll fall on your sword if it fails. The bravest in all this are Ollie and TJ. Congratulations and good luck boys.

Fall on his sword? I doubt it, he should be told. yet KT was happy as punch with co-captains.

If we have a crap year the house burns down.

I don’t think anyone’s ‘determined it’s a fail’, it’s more that people are tired of Koch, Ken and Keith blubbering about this and that and t’other year after year after year as the club stays bogged in mediocrity.

They talk about co-captains being the best route for success.

What success? They wouldn’t know success if it jumped up and nibbled their knackers.

This is the crux of the issue. If this decision had been made in February 2015, eyebrows would've been raised but it wouldn't have been seen as the end of the world. But the last 4 years have seen us stumble from one clumsy management error to the next, almost continuously. The club have no credits left in the bank, every decision they make is going to be met with skepticism until our fortunes turn around.

I reckon KT didn't like the decision and struggled with it based on his interview on AA. I think he told Ken that if its only marginally more than 50/50 he doesn't want it to happen. he definitely wanted to know if it was 50/50 as he said the members had made him aware they didn't like it.

KT has backed in Ken so many times, that when Hinkley came back with his I strongly want this response, KT was always going to say lets run with it.

It's the lack of respect to the member that annoys me. They haven't been able to justify to the members WHY it is a better option. In Rick's recent interview, Richardson said, and I quote "There will be a lot of thought that will have gone into the decision when that happens, whatever that decision is, it will be really important for us as a club to make sure we communicate that really clearly to our members... what the reasons are for that decision".

Well I'm a member and I am still bloody waiting for that communication.

But, but they’ve sent you a secret email.

Why are you changing a tradition which by the way is what our club hangs it hat on being a traditional club not a new breezy idea, why are you wanting us to endorse this???
What is with the ‘it could be cool, it could really work’ we have other problems and forgive those of us who are slightly more sceptical than others who are wondering why we are getting rid of the few traditions that we can keep because some dickhead coach who knows nothing about our history wants to distract us with a shiny object while he gets away with with bilking the members, getting us to pay for nothing.

I’d prefer he put on a magic show complete with smoke and mirrors because it might be more entertaining than the sloppy football they have served us in the past far too many years.

But no you’re right let’s break something that wasn’t broken because we can.

Brave lads
We gotta support these guys.
Stop being grumpy about the decision.
Three fine young men!

And the w***ers having a go at KT continuously can po. KT is a really good bloke who does his best for this club.

The quicker people move on the better.

This is where I'm at anyway.

They obviously have been giving the idea some thought for a time. The club is trying to improve.
We have three awesome guys leading the rest of the team..that's a positive.
It is perhaps the best move for now.

The why will come, it has obviously started to be answered already.

That's one smart marketing department then. They have read the feel of the members perfectly. What we want is to be drip fed the information over time as we are so trusting and content

Be brave and we'll find the why, don't worry about that youse blokes.

He said "we don't not listen to that" (The members voicing their discontent).

We don't not listen to that.
