Like David King said earlier in the week if we don’t get what WE want for him then he will end up going into the draft and Norf will pick him up they have the cap space. The fact that your club is willing to shell out $900k a season for a 22 year old player means they know he’s a star and 1 first rounder does not cut it. 900k a season should be a minimum of 2 first rounders or 1 first rounder and a player (Josh Rachele) or A grader back our way for the inconvenience YOUR club has caused. You can’t have your cake and eat it to. The deal should not just benefit you. We don’t have to deal with you and nor should we if your club officials are as pig headed as you. Have a nice day.

But isn’t pick 4 by any objective measure reasonable compensation? Forcing him to PSD or ND is a guaranteed loss for GC and a possible/probable loss for Crows. Neither side wins. It’s not us trying to march him into the PSD draft threat which as you know happens often (Martin to Blues, Greenwood to Suns, Hately to Crows) where you get nothing or way unders.

in the super draft of 2018, where does Rankine sit? in the top 8-9 picks in hindsight but probably to be fair on exposed form behind Walsh, both Kings, Rozee, Smith and Butters. I get that potential wise - which crows are seemingly paying him on - means he perhaps makes near the very top of this longer term.
