It’s disappointing from the point of view that he’s a professional athlete, and part of what goes with that (at least in the AFL) and the lucrative contracts they can earn, is avoiding illicit substances. It’s unprofessional behaviour and poor preparation for the season.

So Nick should just go through the motions and not give a stuff about working hard and becoming the best he can be. So that he busting a gut to get the ball to the forwards.

Mihochek shouldn’t throw his undersized body into packs to get the ball to ground. He only has a few years left and he needs to look after himself.

And why should the coaches give a stuff about getting the programs set and the training and fitness expectations because none of that matters. Getting all the little things right never really helps you win games. Does it.

And why should Brown/Kelly/Wright give a stuff. Why should we get more members, sponsors and better players to the club when we all know that they will just piss it all up against the wall or snorting it up their noses. Collingwood’s membership will be enough and when it no longer is capable of supporting this once great club. We can become like The Paupers, The Fleabags and The Sinners and become a burden to the comp. HQ can bail us out.
