Jack Riewoldt will be the AFL's best KPF in 2012

Looks like I may have been wrong, AFL's best KPF in 2010.

Coleman in the bag. :D

But in all seriousness I'd currently have:

Riewoldt SNR
Brown
Franklin

Ahead of him in the KPP stakes. Will be very interesting next year.

BUMPing this one.

I'm gonna bite the bullet and say this bloke is the best one on one contest player in the AFL. Kicking has improved dramatically and is the all round package.

Riewoldt in a side with outstanding disposal would be unstoppable.

Best KPF in 2011 I say. :thumbsu:

Are you sure Jack is not the best tall forward in the game already?

Jack R. - Reining coleman medalist. Good shot on goal. Good mark. Can take marks and get kicks close to goal.

Nick R. - Gets his kicks a long way from goal. Can't kick. Is really soft and has no physical presence.

Brown - Body is shot.

Cloke - Can't kick and not near as good as the above.

Daws - on the up but yet to prove himself to be elite.

Roughead - can't kick.

Franklin - He's pretty good but again doesn't get his kicks close to goal like Riewoldt does. Franklin is also a dodgy kick. At the moment him and Jack are pretty level I recon.

You go to the footy to watch guys like him. Good call OP.
Thankyou sir :footy:

It's pretty amazing to see him dominate one on one like he does, he still doesn't look all that big for a KP forward. Clever body work
Riewoldt must have huge core strength to hold his feet in contests.

It's deceptive that he's 5 centimetres taller than Fevola...Doesn't look that tall.

It's a shame that none of the Riewoldts have likeable personalities.

Both dive for frees and expect generous treatment from the umpires.

I'd still take Buddy.

Franklin would have kicked ten on White and Thornton.

One of the best OP calls on BF. Well done sir on an excellent pick. I don't think anyone (including Tiger supporters...and coaches for that matter), picked Jack to become the most dominant (or 1 0f 2) players in the comp come start 2011.

Keep in mind that he only played in one pre season game and will only get better.

Thankyou sir, you are worthy of being in my signature

Here comes the BF hype machine after a 6 goal game.......

He's good, would have Buddy, Nick R, Pavlich, Brown ahead of him currently.

I would still pick Franklin. Averaged just as many goals per game as Jack last year, playing higher up the ground and also averaged 5 or 6 more possessions per game more than Jack.

Each to their own though. Fwiw, I think Michael Hurley will be a better player than Jack by the end of their careers and I think Franklin will be ahead of them both.

And a Coleman medal.

Have a look at the team JR plays for. The ball does not come with great midfield kicks and can rarely find his team-mates providing the ball into a reliable lead space either. Yet he finds himself having to take one on one – even one on two marks and he does again and again. Most impressively last night was not just his six goal hall but the way when he could not get the ball in a one on two contest in Carlton’s favour he ensured the ball dropped to ground, from which he set up a couple.

This boy is super strong and if he had a top 4 midfield delivering him the ball his numbers would look so much higher. For pure full forwards at the moment Franklin and Jack are that far ahead of everyone else And the great thing is they play there games differently.

I'd agree with this. By 2012 though, Jack could definitely be the best. He is on the way up whilst none of the 4 you mentioned will improve. (Franklin still has lots of years left though)

Hurley has the potential to challenge but hasn't got the runs on the board just yet.
