But it'd be okay in the short term for Pederson to be bullish on his guys if he can bring Jacksonville a Super Bowl like he did in Philadelphia, then it wouldn't hurt so much if the coaching staff had to be blown up after Pederson got pushed out. But it'd be better if Pederson hung around for a decade plus whilst being adaptive and fluid with his coordinators, able to let them go for better ones.

So much for performance and merit....as we are told growing up, as adults are told at the workplace, etc.

Where's Minshew's 250m contract? Or why isn't Lawrence getting a similar salary/contract to what Minshew got at the Raiders or Colts?

Bortles didn't also have to be coached in his rookie year by the Muppet that is Urban. Worst coaching hire of last 20 years. That horrible first year makes the stats alot closer than it should be. Take away his wasted first year Lawrence has throw 8129 yards for 46 tds 22 Ints (2.09 td to int ratio)

Stats are stats tho.
 
Just regarding the Minshaw comparison, Minshaw's second season at the Jags was when they were going full on tank, After they won the first game they starting shipping out the Oline and anyone they could get value for.

So if you are going discount Lawrence's first year under Meyer then the same discount should apply to Minshaw for the year they tanked.
