Not sure how either team will feel about this, but if he nominates Essendon, how about:

O'Meara + Pick 8 + Pick 22 => Pick 1 + Pick 19

I know GC have said they want experienced players, but with this trade and the potential Prestia to Tigers for pick 6 trade, they could potentially go into the draft with Picks 1, 4 and 6. They might be able to pick up 3 top line draftees before their Academy player (Bowes) is even nominated. Would be an incredible draft haul.

As for the Dons, they get to pick up O'Meara and still stay in the top 10 of the draft, while only dropping a couple of spots in the second round.

If he goes to PSD the AFL will can the PSD for good and rightly so.
It would be worth it just to see this happen. They also need to give the clubs the right to trade contracted players.

I hate where the game is going but at the moment too much power is held by the players

I like the fact that clubs cannot trade contracted players.

However I would bring in a heavy fine system for players who refuse to play.

So McCarthy would still be playing this year because if he pulled the shit he has he would be fined his contract instead of paid it.

No way man! Hams = brand new suzuki swift. Dempsey = brand new Holden Maloo ute and Ashby is a toyota hilux..

JOM might be a ferrari but he has been in a 4 car pile up and may well be a write off...also it is not insured.

The other cars are more valuable!
I would take a crashed Ferrari (O'meara) over 3 nobody's and pick 27..

b- imo. Watson and Goddard finished. Heppell overrated. No A-graders, not now or in the future, but does bat pretty deep.

Still pretty decent given the circumstances Essendon have faced the last few seasons

What-.gif

I called it a few months back watch this space regarding the PSD, its the first time EFC have had the oportunity to benefit from it. Also Lloyd has been all up in JOM for a few months now. Lloyd has said on air "He's a Royals Royce when compared to the other potential young players that may be available this offseason." I guarantee Essendon get JOM in the PSD! Just lock that in right now!

Jaeger is probably why Hurley stays!

Jaeger O'Meara
Number 1 Draft Pick
Good development in the kids
Play with mates
Win Premiership
Lol

Rubbish. Breust is good in a good side, in a poor side he would struggle.

JOM was on track to be a on top 4 mid and you want to offer a half forward flanker. Get real.
you sir are an idiot. How would you know if bruest would struggle in a poor side? He's never been in one.

Totally agree with this. Way too much power... The fact an out of contract player has to sign off on where he gets traded to is ridiculous.

Hearing that JOM wanted Saints but they baulked at his price combined with cost due to injury.

North, Bombers and Hawks had big big offers on the plate. Hawks averaging 800k over 5 years initially. North and Ess slightly less. Concern medical at North. They are out.

Essendon are keen still and leaning towards them as they have the pieces to get a trade done. Hawks have responded by offering 800k/6 years. Need to get someone but having a lot of trouble.

Everything you've just wrote is a stinking lie. Not even close. 800k? Hawthorn struggling to attract players? What other mud you wanna 'throw' at the hawks?

Doesn't really sound legit at all.

The dollars, the years and the fact that a player would still be deciding on a club depending what that club could offer in a trade.

lol...

given all 3 parties have to agree, it's more than likely it is a factor in the decision making.

I know it flies against your whole he's picked Hawthorn because he's picked Hawthorn thing, but like I keep on telling you... a trade actually has to occur that GC actually have to agree to, and Jaeger is touring a variety of clubs because they can all give him what he needs, just like Hawthorn can
