Lol that was me he was arguing with there. I wanted to continue but I decided my life was far better off not arguing with fools like Kingy who show how little they know on a weekly basis.

I've got a friend who's old man worked at the sun for a few decades. Is good friends with many players in the know and had access to a bit of insider knowledge. There's a reason King didn't last very long in the coaching caper. Absolutely useless was how he was described.

I was tempted to ask him if he thought our direct swap of pick 5 for 12 was as big a disaster as it seems, considering hes in the business of ignoring details to suit his arguments. After all, you can rewrite trades but not the draft :rolleyes:

But again, it's not worth it. Not until the next time Jake dominates anyway. No idea how he's still employed.

Dead set I have no idea of even a qtr of the rules and regs of drafting and everything that goes along with it but geez even i can understand it once it's been explained.

I think he does get it, now it's explained, but just won't step up and say he was wrong and that he misunderstood.

You have Robbo (who I like listening to) who is agenda driven (along with Lloyd) on bagging Carlisle because no one disrespects the great Essendon football club, regardless if 100s of needles filled with performance enhancing drugs are pumped into their body. Seriously, it was just DUMB. Literally dumb... this guy is getting paid to be there. Robbo stays quiet because it suits his agenda. Huddo the only one w some sense and actually has the balls to call out this crap.

I don't think King is too arrogant to admit he's been wrong on this topic - I think he is just dumb - and incapable of processing information put to him, like when Huddo called it out. If he want to say Pick 5 was too much for Carlisle and Pick 14 - so be it, but he was just too thick to understand.

Sorry to intrude but as an avid listener of CrunchTime I had to post about this.

Mark Robinson is such a fat ****ing ******.

Robbo - 'Jury is out on Carlisle'
Huddo - 'Hes been alright'
Mooney - 'He has spent 12 months out of the game to be fair'
Robbo - 'So has Hurley but he was great last week'
Huddo - 'Hurley wasn't setting the world on fire before that though'
Robbo - 'uhhhhh BUT THEY'RE PAYING CARLISLE SUPERSTAR MONEY'

The ****? Its ****ing 6 games into the season. Also King on Carlisle 'Watts got him round 1' lol wat? He was playing on Hogan for most of the game (Who did play very well to be fair) and Watts didn't even play that well in round 1. Francis has done sweet **** all so far either (Yes it is very early in his career but it isn't like he is playing well at AFL level, or even playing at the AFL level at all).

I swear Robbo is drunk every Saturday morning, he ruins the segment so much it makes me so mad.

Also King, just lol. Huddo has him nailed and he doesn't know how to get out of it.

If Robbo checked his facts he'd know Carlisle isn't on superstar money, either...

After Robbo's comments the other day where he said Carlisle had just been 'OK' and that he really needs to do more and stand up being the player St. Kilda need him to be, I decided to have a look at his stats so far this season and compare them to in 2013, where he was considered by many to have been unlucky not to at least make the 40 man squad for the All-Australian team. So he was on the cusp back then, these are the averages from those games:

2013
Disposals - 14.4 (84% efficiency)
Contested Possessions - 4.3
Tackles - 1.8
Marks - 6.7
Contested Marks - 1.3
Rebound 50's - 2.5
Inside 50's - 0.9

2017
Disposals - 12.7 (86% efficiency)
Contested Possessions - 6.3
Intercept Possessions - 6.8 (stats unavailable for 2013)
Tackles - 1.3
Marks - 4.5
Contested Marks - 1.7
Rebound 50's - 1.8
Inside 50's - 0.8

Now, whilst he might be slightly down in a couple of areas, and note that he's only just slightly down on all of them except maybe marking, he has been out of the game for 12 months. During those 12 months, he also had surgery on his hip which meant he couldn't do anything for 14 weeks (over 3 months). So if he's not far off his 2013 form on paper, with more games this season and not having the drugs saga hanging over his head he's only going to get better. Just because flogs like Slobbo and Kingy probably don't watch St. Kilda games, rather they just look at the stats sheet or who's listed in the best players doesn't give them any right to criticise Jake. It really frustrates me. Just watch these same idiots praise him in 2 months when he's dominating and they talk about him being in All Australian contention.

After seeing how good Jake has been for us, if he played last year we would've played finals.
