Before he even got drafted he's that good.

JAMES Aish says he’ll prove critics of his inside game wrong after the perception he was a ‘receiver’ contributed to the teenage star sliding to the Brisbane Lions at No. 7 in last year’s draft. The midfielder was last night awarded the Round 6 Rising Star nomination for his prolific performance in the Lions’ breakthrough win under new coach Justin Leppitsch.
After Friday night I'd have kissed either of them as well!It looks like Leppa and Aish are about to have a passionate kiss in that photo.

It'd take a bit more than a 3 point win over the Saints for me to want to passionately kiss Leppa.
EDIT: If the last two posts were deleted this would look very strange out of context.
What is an acceptable Leppa kissing threshold? 3 point win over the Suns? 3 point win over Hawthorn? A premiership? 100 point win over the Pies?
5. JAMES AISH. When in Brisbane’s position, you look to the future and Aish has been standout this year, not just at the Lions, but across the competition for first-year players. Aish, Paparone and Mayes will be strong contributors for many years, and let’s hope they recommit to the Lions when contract talks begin. Missed Aish in my SuperCoach team and now it’s too late
Mayes one year, Aish the next. They are 2 gun midfielders from South Australia and I expect them both to have long careers in Lions colours. Can we just give this kid a 9 year deal!!! I will cry if he runs back to S.A

Didn't Mayes sign an extension this year?? Was it 2 or 3 years?
Ah really??? I had no idea about that. The interviews I have seen of him, he does seen shy and quiet.2 year extension till end of 2016. Will be in the leadership group by then.
He loves it here. He has a social anxiety disorder so it must be an absolute pleasure for him to be able to walk down the street or go shopping in relative anonymity.
would never have guessed that. Always looks pretty happy in front of the camera

I'm just glad that you are educating yourself.Wish my crap uni had sports stars...
So few wins, so many top-30 draft picks who joined the exodus last year. But amid the wreckage of the off-season the Lions would be thrilled with the green shoots of regeneration. How did pick 7 James Aish slip through so far in the draft again?
He is the Round 6 nominee and is second-favourite for the award. He wins the hard ball despite perceptions during his final junior season he was more of an outside player. Anyone who can be so polished in a season of so many battles is might impressive.

All I can say to that is, never has one kid's smile in footage or photos ever been so overanalysed on BF.Does anyone have any news on how Aishy is tracking? And how he is settling into Brissy life?
