Considering we have played about 8 home games a yr in Melb the last 5 to 10 years, play 3 home games a yr where no 1 follows the game, had poor fixturing bugger all tv deals and Foxtel games live to the gate , 1 or 2 Friday games a yr . Average to poor marketing of membership ,customer service which cant meet demand, we still get 23000 to 25000 members, just imagine if we tried and were organised with hands on people with business accumen. When we get games scheduled in good time slots we get good crowds gee 2 of the highest rating games ever in recent times r both North games.

I wonder if the real reason if Eddie does give JB some lessons on how to grow balls is because he doesnt want the GC Roos to get the draft concessions etc...We know that Eddie has been pretty vocal about this stuff before.

Any reason will do me. I'd love to see some support from a president of another Victorian club helping us. Thats a pretty big statement. And the best thing is the AFL wouldnt dare take on Collingwood. !

I did see in the Age today that Jeff Kennett slammed the AFL for their ultimatum to North and bullying tactics. Hopefully Eddie comes to the party....he did play for the Under 19s once i believe.

"I'm not opposed to the concept of opening up a club on the Gold Coast but I'm certainly opposed to the idea of having an existing club threatened by a concept that has not been discussed."

This is indeed great news if true. I cant wait until the papers come out in the morning to see it for myself for one and all to see.

JB would be an excellent chairman, and with RJ, Arch and Pagan on side, and Carter and Head gone, then add a few more with good business accumen (e.g. PDR) we'll have the adminsitration dream team.

Ive got no problem with those comments. If we do manage to survive this push to the GC in the next 30 days. If we as supporters and club dont pull our finger out and get some serious business plans up and running and make ourselves financially viable on our own within 12-24 months then we deserve to end up there.

Maybe its time for us, as suppoters to flood talk back this week and asking for the resignation of Carter, and Head from the board.
They obviously as "Cow-ro" keeps telling us are working with the AFL to get us up there, and going agaisnt what the members want. Who knows how long those two clowns have gone behind everyones backs. It wouldnt suprise me if these turkeys have been the source of boardroom leaks over the last 12 months.
Maybe the time has come as members to ask these two publically over the air waves for them to provide an explanation to everyone as to why they are doing this ?

Yes, however what is outrageous is the 30 day deadline. As you well know, it gives us all no time at all to muster and get a campaign underway.

Demetriou is a shrewd operator, but not a very moral one.

Great news if this is true to hear JB come and say what he has. Lets hope that from now on, each time the AFL, media or who ever comes out and spreads the fear and lies campaign, that JB and the other Pro Melbourne people continue to challenge them. Lets hope this is not the only time we hear comments like this from our Pro Melbourne friends on the board. JB and who ever else is on our side must now be pro active, not just reactive towards the AFL and media. Get on the front foot...speak up, and rally the troops....Its time JB and co!
