His settlement will 100% have confidentiality and non-disparagement clauses. Do you think he is going to give the $1m back just so he can refute the mean things James said about him?

Robinson won dude. Out of everyone at EFC, he won.
he did win. However he has now been accused of being one of the main causes of the problems because he and Dank agreed to follow the protocol and include Reid, but didnt. When will he come out and deny it?

If you wanted to watch that crap again:

Yet for me he is one of the more guilty parties in this whole saga.

I wish she had asked, well do you think the players could have been injected with banned drugs without you knowing ? He does not want to concede that TB4 was used. Says he still believes they were not.
I can understand saying he was duped by dank and co but not to concede tb4 was used. It contadicts the narrative.

you did watch the interview didnt you?? How many times did Hird admit he made many mistakes?

The problem is all the mistakes he has acknowledged he made are as an observer not a participant and if he had his time again he would make sure "others" did the right thing, nobody is buying it if you hadn't noticed.

Ha.

Actually.

I think Tracey set him up. Legit. That last question PERFECTLY puts into perspective EVERYTHING he has been trying to do during the ENTIRE saga.

"Do you want to be absolved of everything"

She said yes to every request of his about the interview. Knowing just how self serving it would make him look.

Thoughts?
A remote possibility. You are very charitable to Tracey.

James took questions afterwards (despite Tracey saying at the start he wouldn't)

That's when the more interesting stuff came out, there were audience members who were clearly more across the finer details than Tracey was ...

... Although it might have had something to do with the audio being very quiet and difficult for the audience to hear during the main interview. James spoke clearly at the start, but he was mumbling a bit towards the end. He was visibly relieved when it was all over. He was a lot more relaxed during the audience Q&A

Some of the audience Q&A (no particular order) ... I'm summarizing from my scratchy memory - he went into a bit more detail than what I am communicating here ...

Q: What was the last thing you said to Dank?
A: Don't remember, that was around August 2012. It was nothing remarkable

Q: Why didn't the 34 players declare their injections in their declarations to ASADA?
A: Only around 21 players were tested during 2012. Of those, around 5 or 6 were tested when the (legal) program was not running. The remainder - they were just coming off the track after training, getting tested, and just wanting to get it done with. There club certainly did not tell the players to conceal it.

Q: Have you spoken to Jobe this week?
A: Only via text, he is quite angry which is understandable

Q: What would you write in the coaches manual to help future coaches not to let this happen again?
A: Be diligent, don't be so trusting, check things.

Q: If this didn't happen to Essendon / Dank, was it inevitable that it would happen at another club? And if so, was the AFL negligent?
A: Don't know, hard to say ... A lot of things went wrong at Essendon to that to happen. Unbeknowns to Essendon, the AFL took samples mid 2012 and sent them to Cologne for testing - so they suspected something. If they told us that then things might have been different.

Q: in an Interview in 2011 you spoke about legal peptides, was that something you were particularly fascinated/interested in?
A: I was interested in anything that could legally give us an advantage, whether that was gameplan or training technique or whatever

Q: In the press conference on the day the story spoke you said the words "I take full responsibility". Why have you reticent to use those words since.
A: On that day I was told by the PR person what to say - sounds like a copout, but, well, that's what happened.

Q: forgot what the question was, answer was ...
A: I do remember that there was a WADA document that came across my desk one day. I didn't study it - I wish I had studied it, because there has been some suggestion it was fake. And if that had been discovered at the time, then maybe we could have gotten to the bottom of things.

... There was about 30 mins Q&A that's all I can remember for now

The problem is all the mistakes he has acknowledged he made are as an observer not a participant and if he had his time again he would make sure "others" did the right thing, nobody is buying it if you hadn't noticed.
No, he said he should have done more to control and then stop the program, and shouldnt have put so much faith in others ie Dank and Robinson. Isnt that a fair assessment of his mistakes? Thats exactly what the HTB have complained about for years

he did win. However he has now been accused of being one of the main causes of the problems because he and Dank agreed to follow the protocol and include Reid, but didnt. When will he come out and deny it?

Did you read my post? He has to give back $1m to do it. He will not do it. This kind of deflection from you is hilarious.

You can prove Robinson was paid money to keep quiet can you? I thought he won a settlement for unfair dismissal

It's on public record that Essendon settled their dispute with him for $1m out of court.
Are you seriously suggesting Essendon would give him $1m and not asking him to sign a confidentiality agreement?
Come on mate!

The one thing I got from the interview is that, although they may be only average AFL footballers, these 34 Essendon players are abnormally great men, perhaps even approaching the greatness of James Hird himself. Essendon really hit the jackpot with these guys. All they need do to enshrine that greatness in perpetuity is not hold Hird responsible for their plight.

Ease up Ronnie

Too far mate
