Speculation James Peatling

That was very clearly a joke at your insurance company friend's expense
As an outsider who sees that the Bulldogs have a decision to make around which of their three key forwards they need to move on, that wasn't clearly a joke. Peatling would be a handy addition to the Dogs' midfield though.

We had the second highest scoring forward line this year and reportedly have no salary cap issues.

We are apparently really into Peatling but there's no way we trade a key forward to bring in a role player.

You don't need to make any list changes though remember? You have the perfect list that doesn't need altering because James Harmes will save the day..
Lol not what Dogs fans were saying at all. We need outside mids and small forwards. The type of players you can bring in relatively cheap (2nd rounders). Not by offloading a gun key forward.

Anyway, Peatling is exactly the type of player we need. Would take Daniels place in the team. Hopefully we can get it done.

from outside looking in dont you have weightman and west as small forwards and dale and richards with some speed on the outside.

Peatling is none of those. You need another gun ball mover in the midfield and gotta give up a gun to get one back I'm afraid. Bont can't do it all by himself come finals time.

Going back to Peatling he isn't choosing you over the teams after him. Would be GWS, Eagle's and Collingwood only competing here.

He definitely won’t be choosing a 16th placed side doesn’t matter how much you offer him.

We rely on Vandermeer and McNeil as more defensive forwards and they lack composure. We've also rotated Poulter, Baker and Daniel through the wing and none are great. Replacing those 3 roles is where out improvement will come.

Richards has transformed our midfield and gives it a nice balance. Dale is a half back.

He seems to be the perfect "support mid" like Drew, Rowbottom and co. Does the dirty work so the stars can shine.

Greedy or weird I know but I wish Freo had been into him over Baker from the start. He'd actually round our midfield so much better.

Surely GWS don't lose all of Peatling, Cumming and Perryman at once though?

Perryman and cumming will both go and gws are probably hoping for band 2 compo for both.
Peatling is 50-50 i reckon stays if the cash is right.

Perfect type of defensive mid the Blues would be after instead of a Hewett or Kennedy type due to his running power and closing speed. Highly doubt we're even in the conversation but would like to see it explored by our list team.
