Another bullet dodged if true. We need a recruiting inquiry, getting spuds like Brockman, Witherden, Hunt, Flynn while pursuing other spuds (English, Baker, Carrol, Garcia, Davies, Peatling) is destroying our club.

So with a single 1st rounder and a single 2nd rounder each year exactly how would you address the list problems at the Eagles?

Hawks seem to be doing pretty well briging in players from other clubs. Same with Collingwood, Brisbane, Sydney, Port, Freo and Geelong.

So what is this other way to rebuild a list you seem to be alluding to?

You need players to lift the floor. We can’t continue to have the likes of Trew and Rotham running around and B Williams as a first choice ruck. All the players you mentioned make our team better

Wipe out non-performing or older mediocre players (Gaff, Jones, Trew, Baker, Barrass, JD GONE + Brockman, Rotham, Jamieson, Hunt, Petch, Witherden, Flynn, B.Williams, Bazzo, Livingston, Barnett, Edwards, Burgiel, Cole, Culley, Rawlinson, Cripps, Yeo, Sheed, Kelly, Allen) we have on the list (trade or payout contracts and delist), and recruit high risk, high potential guys with multiple late picks, rookie picks or mid season picks. We have to turn over +20 players a year (27 this year) until we find 18 that can actually play. If you see a guy like Bailey Williams come into the club with the skills of an orangutan just immediately drive them out the door.

Why are Eagles so keen? Is it because he's style compliments Harley Reid ( so he can focus in being an attacking midfielder, with Peatlng doing more of the defensive side of it?).

Need mids that aren't 30+, or first/second year players.

Pretty much. That and we got NO-ONE and I mean NO-ONE to give this money too. We managed to ship like 600k of our salary cap before our first offer which helped our 2nd. From what I can gather our offer is like 4/2.8 and GWS offer more like 3/1.5

A fund we don't have to pay for the next 2 seasons, at the very least, whilst we're barely going to pay enough to make the soft cap.
