Posted this on our board re a trade for Peatling.

We hope that our F2 will cut it. If not, we might have to try and go F2 + Pick 45 & 63 for Peatling and picks 52 & 55 for Welsh points (equivalent to pick 39, and then factor in the discount for F/S so it probably covers us for a big from low 30's onwards)? hoping that GWS don't really dig in on this one. And picks 52 & 55 they are most likely not using anyway.

Another thing that might work in our favor was the deal to land Cumming pushing the compo to band 2 end of 1st round which Caruso himself sounded quite pleased with. So it might soften how far GWS push us compensation wise for the Peatling trade.

You don't rate him? At least seven teams were interested and he got a long-term deal - no idea how much he would be on though. I would have thought he'd be worth a pick around twenty in Adelaide had one.

If you think he's worth pick 20 why would you think a team that just finished bottom 4 should trade their f1 for him?

With change. How much change should be what the two clubs spend a week arguing over.

You guys don't have a second rounder this year and your F2 and shrapnel is unlikely to be enough. Not sure how you get it done without eating into one of your first rounders.

Hes been a fringe player at GWS. Opportunity would be a big part of his decision to leave.
The interest from so many clubs was entirely because he would be so cheap considering he's only really had opportunity when players are injured, not because he's a great player
