James Podsiadly: How many weeks?

My point is that Ch7 didn't give the same analysis to the many other incidents to occur this round

Sorry, I thought that your point was that you were making a Martyr of Pods. I assume that you agree that what Pods did was bad, but you are saying that Ch7 focused only on that. What was the biggest incident of the game, that they should have reported on?

Why focus on any potential MRP incidents? We all know the MRP doesn't review all incidents and relies on the media. I reckon that once the games is over there should be a ban of coverage / analysis of incidents until after the MRP has handed down its decisions.

That is an incredibly valid point... If we weren't in the BF MRP thread... Talking about Pods and the possible outcome... In the thread called "James Podsiadly: How many weeks? We do not rely on the media for our personal opinion of the game. And if you are stating that the MRP relies on the media for its decisions, that is a pretty serious indictment.

Its a fact.

The MRP doesn't watch every quarter of every game. And channel 7 is the AFL.

I have noticed over the last decade, every team that pisses off Vlad usually gets it in the neck from the MRP. I don't think David Evans is the only bloke who gets a call from Vlad. I reckon Mark Fraser gets his instructions the same way. lol

You know how many players have been knocked out from Geelong reports? Not one. You know how many players have lost weeks injured from Geelong reports? Not one. Most of the victims haven't even had to leave the bloody field. We are a marked team, don't worry about that. And have been for the past 12 months.

Hang on, are you saying that plugger35 might be right with his view on the corruption of AFL?

No need for Vlad to be in the country when giving Mark Fraser his orders.
No surprises here. When you saw it slow motion on the Ch 7 News x multiple times, it looked bad, but FFS, you're being tackled from behind, a guy rushes at you from the front, you've got one arm pinned and you try and fend off, as the guy holding you tries to throw you to the turf. All this in a matter of a split second.

If it was one off, I'd say, ok, maybe a bit unlucky, the head is sancrosanct etc...

But we get every single one of these minor incidents to the MRP. And they tend to target certain players. Selwood is one. But he has not retaliated this year hardly at all. And opposition clubs target him. Ergo, you hear he whinges a lot. I guess its him saying "If you don't want me to retaliate, protect me." SJ still doesn't get it. That guy should just run away when an opponent comes near him. Fraser has got his number.

Meanwhile throat punches are all the go.

Call it bias or whatever, but i am frankly getting sick of Hodge escaping bans because he "plays tough". It's absolute garbage how he gets off and others get whacked.

Crap.

as long as our boys behave em selves come the end of the year.....we will have the freshest list heading into September with all the rest they getting thanks to the MRP :thumbsu:
First we tactically rested players.
Then we had no player play every match in a season.
Now we use the MRP to freshen up the list.
Genius.
After September the other clubs will be begging the AFL to restrict the number of suspensions we get. :D
