A Paul Keating like leader would have made the case by now. Whilst yes I do agree there’s no leader on the change side that can rally the public around a new date that doesn’t mean people are just becoming really pro Jan 26 all of a sudden.

The more the debate rages the more people tune out.
It's even more harder now given there's a cost of living and housing crisis going on hurting the largest voting block.

As a result the appetite for change is dead on arrival. Progress is all but stopped until the issues with that voting block is fixed.

Nothing makes people do crazier things than tradition. We'll put on costumes, decorate trees, or sing on command. And we do it all for no other reason than that people have always done it. Another Australia day beckons and once again we can all get together and give each other a big hug knowing we live in such a great country during these troublesome world times. Everyone can down a pot, have a pie, cook up some snags on the barbie and have a no holds barred laugh at ourselves and anyone else for that matter Aussie style. However, that will be far from the truth on Sunday as we sadly make complete clowns of ourselves and embarrass the nation as we celebrate our version of "punch your neighbour" day.

Elitist rubbish.

Just flicked on the women’s T20 Aus vs Eng and I saw some little girls in the crowd with their faces painted and wearing green and gold tops.

Please make sure Schneebly is in your thoughts and prayers during these troubling times.
So instead of enjoying the cricket you ran on here to make a useless statement against another poster without tagging them. Bit ****ing sad.

Hardly anyone has 'lived experience' given most of the horrors that happened occurred more than a century ago give or take some exceptions.
I'll pass on the brain-washing training thanks.

You have no idea what you are talking about. Perhaps its time for some education on the Stolen Generation. The lived experience is still very real for many Aboriginals.

These things all happened over a century ago with some exceptions up until the 1970s which basically is half a century ago now.

This is a really sad post. Many Aboriginals are still struggling with the pain of Stolen Generation. Had you lived it, you might understand it.

If this board is an "echo chamber" it's because so many right wing viewpoints are shot down by facts, truth and logic. Right wingers who can support their position with facts, truth and logic are in short supply on the anonymous internet sadly.

People aren't "losing their minds" over Dutton and Trump, they are giving copious examples of why they are a really, really bad choice.

Tip: "Calling out" anyone is a waste of energy.
Leftie convention 101 hahahahaha

Mate, take the time to listen to people like South of the Yarra and campbell A few years ago, I had doubts about the scale of the stolen generation and their experiences and in particular SOTYs patience and tolerance opened my eyes.
