Port Adelaide legend Gavin Wanganeen is predicting the road runner will torch the Lions on Saturday at Adelaide Oval.

“He will want to do well this week and I have no doubt that Jared will go out and play a ripper of a game. He will kill them,” said Wanganeen who won premierships with Essendon in 1993 and Port in 2004.

He holds on to the ball as he wants to and doesn’t waste possession,” said Wanganeen of top five draft pick Polec who managed 16 games in three years with Brisbane.

“He has good skills and doesn’t waste the footy, is fit. He is a very handy pick up for the club.”

Seems to me the mind games might get at Jared, I am 100% confident he will receive zero targetting by our players other than what is fair and in play. Mentally they will be in to him 100% so as I said way back when it will be interesting to see how he copes with the attention. Jon Brown is probably unlikely to play but he will deliver whatever mental disintegration that he can - I know that for certain. There will be no cheap shots.
