This is who we're comparing him with. There's even some resemblance in the way they move at times.

Certainly some similarities.

Any reason why Russ only managed one season in the VFL? Interestingly, it would appear that playing for North in 1979 actually cost him an extra SANFL flag.

The obvious was that he wanted to stay in SA.

After 3 Magarey Medals, he decided at age 29 to finally test himself against the VFL. He flew over every week in 1979, one training session per week in Melbourne.
From what I’d read he was being parked at FF in pre season matches, quickly proved that he needed to be on ball. With players like Schimmelbusch Greig Blight Glendinning Dempsey he was the leading possession getter, third in the B&F, picked up 9-10 Brownlow votes, considered the experiment over and he’d proved himself, returned to Port Adelaide and won another Magarey

He will be the best man ever to have lived.
Future civilisations will worship the images we will carve of him into granite mountains.

Comparing any modern footballer to Ebert or Robran is madness. Best there ever was without exception.
There is a difference between comparing (which you can only really do post-career) and finding similarities between players.

JHF has similarities in his look, his movement and his game to Ebert.

Ebert is Port Adelaide’s GOAT without question.

I was at a wedding a few weeks ago that he attended, he was second or third cousin of the bride

it was a beachside wedding and on that weekend when we had the extreme storms coming through. That wasn't the only issue, the caterers messed up and no alcohol was delivered to the marquee tent where they were having the reception, and also a couple of older wheelchair-bound extended family members were left stranded as they could not get through the sand

Jason turned up, with a whisper he quietened the storm, and even went for a quick stroll out into the ocean to grab a stray bit of decorations that had blown out there. Of course he walked on the water, but not in an arrogant way. A bit later on it turned out the San Pellegrino had become either a nice Barossa Merlo or a delightful French Champaigne depending on whether it was originally still or sparkling

oh and the elderly few in wheelchairs? They were tearing up the dancefloor, sans roulants, all night long

the groom unfortunately got cold feet and ran off halfway through the occasion, turns out he's come down with a rather bleak case of leprosy

I saw Jason at a grocery store in Adelaide yesterday. I told him how cool it was to meet him in person, but I didn’t want to be a douche and bother him and ask him for photos or anything.
He said, “Oh, like you’re doing now?”
I was taken aback, and all I could say was “Huh?” but he kept cutting me off and going “huh? huh? huh?” and closing his hand shut in front of my face. I walked away and continued with my shopping, and I heard him chuckle as I walked off. When I came to pay for my stuff up front I saw him trying to walk out the doors with like fifteen Fruchocs in his hands without paying.
The girl at the counter was very nice about it and professional, and was like “Sir, you need to pay for those first.” At first he kept pretending to be tired and not hear her, but eventually turned back around and brought them to the counter.
When she took one of the packets and started scanning it multiple times, he stopped her and told her to scan them each individually “to prevent any electrical infetterence,” and then turned around and winked at me. I don’t even think that’s a word. After she scanned each pack and put them in a bag and started to say the price, he kept interrupting her by yawning really loudly.

Okay, well he is still my outside tip. Sorry if that upset you.

I think he will poll really well.

He's absolutely a shot. He polled well last year, even in games he didn't play particularly well. I plan to win 7 grand on a $30 bet, so I'm all in.

But for how long?

Only a matter of time and this guy's gonna elevate to the top tier.

Flog gets what he deserves, and may he continue to suffer.

Not willing to do the hard yards via the club that drafts you for just a few years. Enjoy playing with a team that embodies that weak as piss attitude, and may their capitulation in this year's finals series be an homage to him.
