What the hell is a "Wonthella"???
what did you call meWhat the hell is a "Wonthella"???
He called you a suburb of Geraldton. Thats a hate crimewhat did you call me
Butler's playing younger than ever.First two names in your young side
Also points out that there's a 17 day gap between our last practice match and round 1 opener
I like it. How long til teams are officially announced. I'm going through afl withdrawals. So if we rest the old and injured, a potential 26 for the first game could be
FB: Rotham Barrass Cole
HB: Nelson Mackenzie Watson
C: Yeo Redden Karpany
HF: Hill McInnes Cripps
FF: Rioli Allen Petrie
R: Giles Sheed Hutchings
I: Brophy Gorter Snadden Mutimer Partington Waterman Lamb Bayok
And then play the best available team for the final two games, managing workloads where it's needed.

Sending a young side to bum**** NSW to play the Giants makes sense but the game in Geraldton and at the one at subi we need to play the seniors as part of their preparation for round 1The AFL is pulling the piss with the preseason scratch matches, we should show the same contempt and send the East Perth reserves side to play in the series.
As you can guess by my pointless speculation about the lineup for a preseason game, I've got withdrawals too.
4 weeks until our first game...
Never liked that slogan - and displaying it on GF day v Hawthorn was strange - almost like saying "yeah we beat the Dockers and that's all that matters" and we played like it.Geraldton isn't difficult & get supporters there. Hate the Dockers, but a mindset of Anywhere, Anytime was a damn good slogan...
a lot better than our banner 2015 GF, 'The West is ours'....I still struggle with how that was relevant at the MCG. Time to Hunt always, anywhere maybe. Reckon we're in for a good shout this year.
I think that's exactly what the purpose was.View attachment 329202

I know the purpose of the slogan was not to say "we have more fans than Freo and we'll always be more well-respected by Western Australians", (though that's true), but it came across that way.
But th women's league starts soonPretty great that footy will be on in less than a month.
I sorta took the slogan to mean "Look at this land, WA is huge and so is our supporter base. we're a big powerful and strong club, while you'resupporter base (from a Vic perspective) is as big as the CBD. You're weak, you're nothing to us". I took it as a veiled crack of arrogance at the eastern staters. It was just too well veiled and kinda shit.View attachment 329202

Yeah pretty sure most people would have taken it as an anti-Freo thingI sorta took the slogan to mean "Look at this land, WA is huge and so is our supporter base. we're a big powerful and strong club, while you'resupporter base (from a Vic perspective) is as big as the CBD. I guess this is my primary school teaching course rearing its head. Looked into it way too much.Yeah pretty sure most people would have taken it as an anti-Freo thing
Did you also bust out the finger paints, PVA glue, and draft up an acrostic poem?I guess this is my primary school teaching course rearing its head. Looked into it way too much.
