After the final CAS decisions he could either give it up or dither.

Class and maturity would have been fronting up on day one and handing it over. Do the right thing.

Instead he dragged it out at a time when your club should have been working to put it behind them.

He has chosen a moment well past the watershed to make the decision. Now he's the guy who took PEDs and then wouldn't hand back the Brownlow until he had no other choice. And dumped the bad news amid the US election fallout.

Yes, he gave it back. But he did it in such a terrible way he gets very little credit. That is his fault, and also the fault of anyone advising him.

And Robbo calling it an injustice. What a flog.

Wouldn't make a difference weather he handed his medal earlier or not you will still have flogs calling him a drug cheat the bloke just cant win no matter what he does.

Robbo is an absolute deadshit who is not fit to be a journalist.

However, linking the timing of the surrendering of the medal with the US election is one of the more impressive over-reaches I've seen.

Of course he had no right to it after he was found guilty of using performance enhancing drugs. No right at all. He and the AFL should have had a plan either way. The commission should have been meeting right up to the end of the appeal to hit the ground running.

Jobe has had, what, three years to consider this very issue.

Instead they dithered and the reputation of all involved is further damaged.

Such a joke.

CAS believed there was a good chance some of the 34 were given TB4, they don't even know if Watson directly received TB4. So Jobe still believes he hasn't done anything wrong. Maybe that's why he didn't hand it up earlier. Not that hard to understand

It is a massive life decision but he refused to let it or the saga define him. I'd say that he's been more focused on his footy and getting back to the club than on what happens to his Brownlow.

Or maybe he waited until Trump got elected so that he could return it without anyone knowing or talking about it, lmao

what garbage! They still had an appeal and also still believed they were innocent. Given the major evidence that sunk them was their failure to declare injections to ASADA, and Jobe didnt have anything to declare when tested, I can see why he waited.

yeah because the brownlow and $20 are SO comparable
You're right. That 20 bucks is probably worth so much more to that elderly lady than the Brownlow is to Job. Plus it turns out it was neither mine nor his to to keep anyways, which was the initial point.

That's what hapoens when you are a drug cheat dude. Take it in the chin and move on and over time people will forgive the club. No point getting angry.

you're wasting your fingers here b4l, flogs gonna flog:drunk: luckily there arent representative of the majority view, not even close

true, however it was still a massive decision on Jobe's part, even if it was the obvious choice
Sorry. Handing over one's autonomy to a ramshackle group of medicos and footy experts, and hiding behind that abdication, was a big decision. Handing back what is not yours is as easy as blinking.

22 games in 2012 were impacted by players found guilty of breaching WADA code.

I'm in favour of leaving 2012 Brownlow vacant.

By that logic you can say the entire season was a wash and the flag should be vacant. As funny as that would be, I think that is unreasonable.
